same here that what I use, its not bad on wifi or 3g.
If the screen res was higher it would be better.

the iphone is so so slick to use, but if you read some of the reviews its not quite polished as it lacks little things. MMS, video to start with.
(yes you can buy a video app!) I'm also lead to believe it cant forward txt messages which I use a lot on my nokia

It has got to be a full qwerty keyboard for me, I don't like the perl keyboard.

do you use BB messenger?

I use mine A LOT, so a full keyboard is essential.

yes, BB messenger is great, most people at my work have BB's so we can comunicate on that quite quickly

There's been a few issue with the Bold but there getting ironed out..
I'm still waiting for mine, my contact in Rim still hasn't sent me it

I know that there are some nice BB's due in the near future ;)

Chris Doughty 23-09-2008 06:03 PM

I have been using it for a few days now, its pretty damn good.

I 'watched' the NeoBuggy.net 8th scale worlds live feed on my blackberry at home, fully mobile, I was well impressed with that!!

Blackberry's are well cool... They do everything i need very simply.

I know the ones that will be released in the future are supposed to blow a certain popular make away big time.

Chris Doughty 23-09-2008 06:49 PM

are you talking about the BB Storm?

either way, I actually really like a proper keyboard with real keys as oposed to a touch screen

Spr0k3t 23-09-2008 08:27 PM

I don't have a black berry or an iphone. I use my Treo 755p from time to time hooked through my home computer system on VPN to surf. I can't get Firefox for the PalmOS... so I found a way to get it. Running over EVDO Rev A so it's just as fast as the 3G iPhone. The other systems I use to surf are my modded PSP and the portable Pandora, those both use skype or Ekiga so they qualify as an IP phone.

The only consideration no one has mentioned is the cost of access?
Be very careful on data transfer costs, i met more than a few customers with £1000's plus bills after little more than a months use as they didn't understand the phrase, 'fair usuage policy'.
But the worst charges allways come from a lack of understanding that a phone handset 'downloads' data when it is browsing.

The cheapest ways to browse with proper coverage from the networks are all blackberry types, but not on T mobile and the I phone when on an o2 contract account. Hope this helps.
