Your based in the UK yes. Ok if you want to race with this are these two motors BRCA legal, if yes toss a coin and go with whatever as they both look good.
I would suggest in buying a really good esc first and then getting a 10.5 motor. I do like this esc at the moment. Ok get one with a reverse. I am going for one of the below but doubt you would need one of these http://www.hpiracing.co.uk/piw.php?partNo=101830 as well as the LRP flow which is listed most places. Unsure which to go with. |
I will be getting the esc which goes with these motors. Richie suggested it a few posts back. Will post my full list later and see what you think.

Shell, undertray, wheels perfect, unsure on the tires though. Esc looks good but whats the cost? I will go over a bit more tomorrow as im a bit stunned by Oosh123's death so will be more with it tomorrow.

Cheers for that Welshy. Top bloke. I think I will get two sets of mad rat wheels and use one set for off road and one set for off road. Which schmacher tyres would you recommend for that? I will double check on all the points you listed. Will be ordering bits tonight. Feel like a right big kid at xmas :lol:

Tires for sand I would recommend the full spikes. The blocks I suppose would be good for tarmac but wont be super grippy. Shcumacher used to do onroad wheels for buggies but cant seem to find them and if you can get yellow as green didnt work for me. If you go to team schumacher on google and look on their site they make and sell directly to you.

Cheers for that info. The battery that i put in the link is exactly the same dimensions as the nicad that i took out of the car so hopefully should be fine. Had a look on hobbyking earlier and some of the bits I wanted are out of stock at the moment. I'm not too kean on ordering from the international warehouse so will wait until the uk one has them back in stock. Regarding the motor/esc I linked earlier, it is not available from the uk site. I know I would be better off with sensored which that is but would this esc and motor be ok for the time being? would the car cope ok with the power of the 9t motor?

Cheers Terry and rondoola. Unfortunately the german hobbyking warehouse doesn't have the motor and esc. I have read some really bad reviews of getting stuff from their international warehouse so will try to stick with the uk or german one. For that reason would these be ok? Sensorless so not ideal. A very good price and its something I could upgrade later on.

Terry they were on the schumie site and originals wouldnt be listed as soft, also they dont look like 2inch, still full spikes are perfect for sand. Also cant seem to find the treaded road tyres that I usrd to have and use on my lazer on a tarmac track, any ideas?

Just ordered the shock oil and diff lube so will start stripping down the car next week and rebuilding. It will give me a chance to see what condition gear parts and belts are in before I place a big parts order.

Terry, apologies yes I found my old Cat tyres and are soft. The Schumie track tyres are superb and I have used them. Unsure why I couldn't find those but nice find and will be buying a set shortly. Cheers..:thumbsup:
