My local pub has a brewery out the back. Station House Bitter, gorgeous! Green King IPA is nice. Adnams - now there's a quality beer. Murphys is good, and then Guiness of course. Can't beat a good lager, all the German ones particularly Dinkel Acker, and I love those little French bottled beers mmmm... How about the original Budweiser, the Czeck one? I had really nice Polish lager the other day as well. Then the Dutch and the Belgians know a thing or two about beer, I used to love Orangeboom, but don't see it much anymore. The Aussie lagers are cracking on a summers day, and the South Africans do a few nice ones too....Mmmm..
Sod it - I'm off out for last orders. |
Lately it has been Amberbock for me. I did try this Southern Pecan Ale made by a micro brewery somewhere in Mississippi and it was mouthwatering. I will have to research it some. Also, the Irish Red I get when I go to the local Maguire's Pub is very good also.

I have now found my "holey grail" of beers!
Jupiler :woot: Trouble is, only had it in Belgium, brought a crate back with me but never seen it before in the UK. :o |

Mine would be Budweiser or Bud Light. I don't really mess with anything harder than that. A guinness once in awhile as well.

Dont really drink beer but partial to Asahi or Asahi Black.
Prefer Cider, good bit of Henneys Frome Valley is my fav at the mo, used to really like that Red K one in bottles but they ruined it putting it in cans, tastes totally different. Gone off Bulmers/magners. Tescos vintage oak one is a nice new discovery. Aspinall Dry for when i want something stronger. Spirits - Smirnoff Black/Blue (maybe with a little lime and soda), Sake. Banned From - Rum - evil things happen when on rum... |

I agree, Jupiler is ace. Imagine how gutted I was when they didn't have any in the duty free :( |

Craig, we need to race in Belgium more regular - with the true purpose of bringing some beer back for personal consumption, sat on the pavement of a car park, again....:thumbsup: |

Worlds worst beer must be John Smiths Extra Smooth. That crap is just made in a big factory then flavoured to taste vagely like beer should. For me the best is anything made in a brewery, not a factory. |

1. Reissdorf Kölsch ( regional beer from cologne)
2. Leffe Brune ( beer from Belgium ) If I can`s get one of these I´ll go with a classic Becks :D |
