Well another quiet night last night with only 19 on the track again, 13 buggies and a very disappointing 6 TC’s.
Loads of grip again making for some close racing in both classes. The A final buggies was won by Greg Williams who also took pole.
B final pole and win went to Nigel Johnson - Nev in the B final? - so that’ll be one driver back to the TC’s next week where he’s more competitive then ;-)

Plus it'll be the tc's that get the extra heat next week:lol:

Well now that our IT police at work seem to have unblocked oople again I can post a bit easier so here goes

A decent turn out Monday night with 22 cars on track and 2 potential (touring car) members watching.
TC’s outnumbering buggies was a nice return to the way it should be with 14 - 8.
Grip seemed awful to start but I think that was just my tyres as having swapped for “remoulds” from my tyre bin by the final there was plenty.
A win for Chris Clarke in the TC’s with Neg in second. Not 100% sure on the winner of the buggies but I’ll guess at Greg Williams.

Enjoy next week - I will as I’ll be snow boarding J leaving Westy & Scowen in charge.

hi guys,

I used to race at nissan sunderland about 10 years ago with a Yokomo MR4-TC. i was thinking about getting back into it. how out of date will my stuff be? would i still be able to use it or would i need a whole new setup.
i must have only raced it about 5 times before other things got in the way and i haven't been able to use it since.

Thanks,

Hi the yokomo should still be ok for club racing.
Best thing to is pop along with your gear and give it a go.
Somebody at the club will help you out with it and give it a once over.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Thanks,

Back at Nissan, Phil H used to win regularly with his HPI Pro3 - and the HPI was old then - and it's still winning some races at Tyne Met now from what I hear

I`ll not be racing my beloved TCX for a good while. Broke speedo...waiting for a new one. Also I'm out of the country for a month or so. Should be back racing mid May. Cheers, Nige.

Never mind Nige, you'll be missed. It will be lighter nights when you do return, take care till then, and enjoy yourself.

With a 2wd I'd probably say an 8 or 9 turn, it's quite slippy!

People still use a mix, I understand 27mhz is a lot better these days due to less people using it. Your Yokomo should still be competitive, just come along and have a go!
