Morning guys :)

Without being too specific it's been brought to my attention that there is some 'lack of clarity' when it comes to my lead times.

My lead time at present is 3/4 weeks on receiving shells - If I can get them done sooner I will. If I am given a specific date to when shells are needed by - I deliver. It works well in most cases, and always try my hardest to maintain what I commit myself to, without sacrificing on the quality of the work I do.

Only in circumstances where I have been told that there is no specific urgency ie - ‘when you can’ or if they are for specific projects ie - Vintage where the shells are no longer in production then naturally I take my time, should the worst case scenario happen the shells are very expensive to replace or cannot be replaced full stop.

Painting is one thing alongside the RC retailing, car valeting which is seasonal, and the delivery shifts which I solely do ‘part time’ until things develop. This is what makes up my week, alongside finding that balance in spending quality time with the wife & family, which a lot of you guys can probably understand and relate to.

I average between 10-15 shells approx every 7 days, and this is continuous. It’s not uncommon for me to be doing shells way past midnight during the week (sometimes to the wife’s annoyance!!)

I'll apologise up front if this sounds really heavy, most of you who know me will agree that I’m one of the nicest and easy going guys you’ll come across. But as well as being extremely passionate about what I do with the shells and RC in general, the shells is one of the things I do to contribute towards paying the mortgage and bills that come out every month, and to put food on our table and generally try to earn a living out of.

For anybody who has specific questions relating to shell painting, please speak to me directly.

All the best guys.

MikeP

Hi Mike.
I can certainly vouch for Mike's Painting timetable. I had the pleasure of having several shells painted in the past year and his delivery times have always been spot on almost to the day. I have also always received my shells 'next day delivery'.
He is, by far, one of the most reliable painters around. It has got to the point now, that I don't even bother asking for a delivery schedule. I just send him the shell and the instructions, and then confirm by e-mail. This usually coincides with Mike and Claire having a holiday or short break. Yes, he his entitled to them just like you and me. But normal service returns pretty quickly.
When you see the quality of his work, it becomes obvious that you cannot rush a good job.
To those that are impatient, you could always have a go at your own painting. You will soon realise the time and skill that goes into these works of art.
Keep up the good work Mike.

Good things come to those who WAIT people:D

Unfortunately some people want things done in an instant these days.

Keep up the great work Mike:thumbsup:

Keep up the great work Mike :0)

Anyway, I'm not going to dwell anymore on this subject. Onwards and upwards :)
