@Danosborne6661: That's a sweet little car you got there!:cool:

I took out the weight from my car, no brass bulkhead, no lipo weight and the car is much better i only have 20g just in front of the servo, no alloy parts. You just need to raise or lower the inner ball joints & lengthen or shorten the links to adjust grip from slippery to grippy tracks.

The heavy brass weight is for the MR car, not for MM.

I added 15g to the front of mine which I removed when I bought the ally upgrades and optional brass 11g bulkhead nose weight. I run stagger ribs, but you can run cut staggers if you want more front end. The car grips like mad, but has loads of steering when you want it.

Thanks! That's what I thought of doing.

Can anyone else remember how you shimmed the gears?

I received the carbon chassis, front and rear-towers. I will take some pictures of them tonight and show them here and on Facebook (url is in my signature). Mounted and unmounted of course. The first "batch" is just to test the production process and quality.

I will test them Wednesday and possibly Saturday on a tight indoor track. As far as I can see and feel, the quality of the parts is fine.

Already I'm having another idea for a small tuning part to raise the gearbox. But this is still in the drawings. :D

Pictures are up at : http://blog.rccss.nl/2013/10/b-max2-...carbon-please/

Will make some pictures of the carbon chassis tomorrow.

skyaflake 15-10-2013 05:32 PM

And pictures of the chassis: http://blog.rccss.nl/2013/10/well-be...pics-included/

Will be testing all parts tomorrow.

Sweeeet! What price range do you expect for the individual items?

dikke hond 15-10-2013 06:47 PM

I will keep an eye on you tomorrow, skyaflake!! :D

Front tower will be around 10 euros. Rear tower will be a little bit more expensive. I guess to 20/25 euros range.

For the chassis I'm aiming at the same price (or cheaper) as the Alu chassis. Guess around 40 euros.

These are all estimates, but I want to have good offer for everyone for a fair price. Just keep checking the blog or facebook. I, of course, will post here too.

I've received a lot of visitors, thanks everyone :wub

@dikke hond, you bet, lol. :D

Quick question does the ver 2 bmax2 come with ti turnbuckles? On yokomo website it shows a few pics with them fitted on the v2 car and other pics the steel ones?

discothesnake 15-10-2013 10:20 PM

Hi Mark, I don't think it does. The only differences seem to be chassis, idler gears and geared diff. I think.

Very nice. what's the flex like on this? what thickness carbon sheet?

skyaflake 16-10-2013 06:57 AM

2.5mm, flex is between the plastic and alu chassis, but the carbon chassis weight is less. I'm going to play around with the parts tonight at a indoor track where I drive regularly.

MHeadling 16-10-2013 08:39 AM

Cheers for the info Disco

skyaflake 17-10-2013 07:54 AM

Did some testing yesterday: chassis was great. A little bit more flex than the Alu, spot on for me. My motor was a little bit too much for the track (again), will put in a 8.5 for the next time. The towers were good, no problems with them.

mes 17-10-2013 11:41 AM

Did you crash enough to test them properly? :p

mekios 17-10-2013 12:07 PM

Has anyone found a good delrin replacement for the rear-rear hinge pin bushings?
The stock ones seem to be wearing out soon.

Not had a problem. What surface are you racing on? Dirt?

Yeah. I was upside down a lot when I was having way too much traction.

No real crashes to be honest. But testing will continue of course

As far as I know there is no replacement part. I found no real problems with the bushings. Are you racing on dirt?

mekios 17-10-2013 03:18 PM

Yes, i did in summer. Now only carpet and astro.
Well it's obviously from dirt and i had seen some Ghea delrin inserts, though they were for Associated vehicles.
