Well done to all mcs drivers at petit, all lookin GOOOOOOOD, I have just brought one (second hand), likin the option with the lippos, is an add-on part needed to do this (apart from batt. strap), I also am havin to use the black g/case, it did come with a grey one, but some of d threads were gone n it was covered in super glue. Can I order a new grey 1....... r u gonna get some alloy milled ones!!! ... What r d pros n cons with the batterys down d middle........

My brother in law has the rb5 vega, Which is very nice....BUT its soooooo thin, I like my car to have a bit of junk in D trunk......lovin my mcs:wub:

Ay up mate,

Don't have anymore gray gearboxes mate, the black ones are supposed to be able to sustain higher temps and be a better material all round.

About the milled ones, I'm waiting for some news on them very quickly, I really want to get these out asap, but of course I'll need a sample first and to do some testing on it so it won't be immediate either.

Still waiting on a new batch of black cases, atm I have none left :o

The Black gearbox case you have is the NEW one, the grey one is the oldish one (hence the glue etc)

I just received a message from RCpower. He also had problems with the gearbox :(

The car is real good and with some great results to prove that.

Right guys I want to let you all know that I am aware of the issues with the latest batch of gearboxes, and the fact that I can't get any spares, and that I am working on a permanent fix to this. I'm hoping to make an anouncement in the next couple of weeks about it, I just want it to be 100% sure first.

Rebel, last I heard Tony was running another mid RB5 conversion but not the Vega.

Leave Fab alone in this thread, he worked, and is still doing so, damn hard on the MCS and nobody can say it's not performed well for those it suits. As he said, don't see us making comments on the Vega thread about the alternatives, hardly fair IMHO.
