Hi
Lots to learn and some motor wires to shorten but here's my X6 bought on oOple.

Already put an order in with DMS for some parts and may invest in the box-o-bolts as well.

Looking forward to race day on Tuesday.
Feel free to offer up any improvements you may see.

:)

You should consider fitting a rear rollbar and the e-speed hangers - both of which will improve the handling on grass/astro/carpet.

BeachBuggyPhil 18-06-2012 01:49 PM

E speed hangers in the post and I may have enough parts to make an anti roll bar.

Check set-up sheets carefully regarding weight and its placement. That's a lot of brass & ally, which looks great, but may be too much and/or in the wrong place.

BeachBuggyPhil 18-06-2012 06:24 PM

Yeah the brass behind the servo is only held in by friction at the moment and I'll experiment with removing it. Apart from the hinge pin brass there is no other added weight so plenty of experimenting will be needed.

Chippy96 18-06-2012 06:30 PM

yes you dont want to be too fast with it straight away!!!!!!!!I knew you would jump soon!!!!:p:woot:

Should be fun tomorrow.

Here's my machine

Bought off Ebay a few months ago. Went straight for the T config as it meant my speedo fit in nicely. Only managed to run it once so far and it was great to drive although it did have a lot of steering. Since then I've taken one brass plate from under the servo (left the brass bulkhead in) tightened the diff, added a rear ARB, moved the wing forward and got lighter oil all round. So many changes it will be like starting again:)

The body came from Ebay too. A guy at the club said he thought he recognised it from the past but couldn't remember the drivers name.

Who makes the t config battery retainers?

maineyak 21-06-2012 10:39 PM

It's just a std X Factory part:

Carbon fibre battery strap - Sub C Nimh Cells (X60, SCX60 or X6 Squared)
Product Code XF 1224 available at DMS for £22.96

I had to modify mine slightly as I run my LRP lipos upside down (or they are too high) so had to file around the humps slightly.

YoungChazz 22-06-2012 02:40 AM

I'm liking the paint scheme and colors.

That's my old shell mate, you may have seen it at that time around the mansfield area or around the East Midlands Regionals.
Still looks good!
Do you use the other one (white & blue) that one was my fovorite?

maineyak 22-06-2012 12:17 PM

Hi Pedros I recognise your name from Ebay now. Thanks for the quick delivery:)

Yes the white shell is good but I prefer this one. Did you paint them yourself BTW?

Pedros20 26-06-2012 05:36 AM

Pedros20 26-06-2012 07:35 AM

There standard Losi springs on Losi shocks. You can get them from most model shops.
