Great shots HVAC!
Went on a little break this week, got loads of photos to go through but these are three of my early faves... http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/a...aithesview.jpg http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/a...speedracer.jpg http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/a...ltburnview.jpg |
Cracking shots PB, really really captured them well, the sea at Saltburn looks fab.
Staithes and Saltburn, good locations, must remind myself to go there and attempt what you did seen as there on my doorstep. |
Cheers, P_B!
That last shot of yours, I assume that's a real picture with some sort of effect added? Did you add the effect in your camera or in a program like photoshop? It's a very interesting look. I wouldn't mind knowing how to do it myself. |

I took 5x underexposed shots, 5x overexposed shots and 5 'correctly' exposed shots, combining each group on the fly in-camera (unique to Pentax K10/K20 series?) to result in three images of different exposure, then combined those in editing software to give a tonemapped HDR image. The surf was up and the sea was crowded with surfers, this technique smoothed the sea right out and eliminated all people except the static fishermen at the end of the pier. |
whats the latham and benjamin bit im lost??

Thanks for the explanation though, guess I'll have to do some reading about tone mapping and hdr and all that jazz. Do you think you could send me the full size version? I'd like to see the fishermen and whatnot up close. [email protected] |

Wow stunning airshow photos :o

Looking good, Mole

Thanks, here's another of the red arrows silhouetted against the sun. I had to shoot this in manual (iso100, f16, 1/8000th - It was bright!) as the camera didn't have a hope of metering the shot correctly I could barely even see through the viewfinder.

WOW is all I can say, those are amazing pictures

Few more from the little roadtrip last week, wish I'd packed a longer lens for the surfers!
