Diff grease is included, there will be some in 2 clear bags. One of the bags will contain the diff balls with the silicone grease and the other contains the moly grease for the thrust race. As for threadlock, you will need to buy that for yourself.

found it thanks

Just can't get over that rear turnbuckle as a brace. Does the old stffener bolt up? Looks like battery swap is a pain.

john333 21-03-2012 02:19 PM

The original top deck on the SV was bolted on, or used body clips. The soft top deck option wasn't.

The SV2 can also be changed to just use a pin to hold the lipos in place but to be fair it only takes 30 seconds to do it.

The turn buckle brace is the way many cars seem to be going these days, and the car handles like a dream so it seems to be a good progression

Battery change is fine. The front pin comes out and then you can lift the top deck up. The only real pain is undoing the four screws on the top that hold the top deck in place.

Earlier today I was comparing the flex of the SV2 and the 8mm SV with the skinny top deck.

The SV2 is a LOT stiffer, but very noticeably, the flex is in a totally different place - just in front of the motor, rather than roughly in the middle of the car as of the SV.

This makes sense with 2wd, flex at the rear to generate more grip.

The turnbuckle makes sense as it allows side to side flex, but not front to rear.

Can't wait to run it this Sunday!

it also doesnt have to be bolted up take a look you can use body clips for quick release if you wish,

You wont find better customer service and parts back up in the UK. FACT.

trr061984 23-03-2012 01:48 PM

Well looks like I am sold on the SV2. Saddle Lipos only by the looks of it though. Bit annoying considering I only have stick ones.

Ah that is good thing; saves a few quid not having to buy more lipos.

I will give the shop a ring and get one of these ordered.

mattybucks 26-03-2012 07:21 PM

I have both the speed passions in stock at the minute. The lpf comes in at £89.00, the new ones coming out shortly.

Did you take it with an iphone4?? there is some sort of error in the camera software so the best way to take a picture is to make sure the volume buttons at the bottom then it will be the right way round:thumbsup:
