It's an übercool body!!! :wub Oh, and the HB wing really fits perfectly! You can mount it more forward and let it rest on the shock tower. It follows the outline of the tower perfectly! |

Antoine (rusti) has done a great job when yesterday evening he has updated the website www.mid44.com so that team members and forum pages are now online :D
Now you can see our faces  |
Cool customers!
|
Have a look on the video of the first Japanese MiD44: HERE on YouTube
|
Hi folks!!
well..... this WE was the second round of the national French championship. First race for me with the MiD44, first A main for the car!! Qualified 8th & finished 9th (9th / 4th / 10th). I have not enough time for the moment to tell you about the handling of the car so.....stay tuned! :) |
Pics of the two cars.
Mine... http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/1613/cfreims010wg9.jpg and Oliv's one!! http://img73.imageshack.us/img73/6788/cfreims005th1.jpg |
And how did the defendig champion Antonio do? Win?
|
His MiD44 was not ready for the event so he has chosen to run his old XX-4. He TQ'd but did not succeed in keeping his first place and finally finished 4th.
It would be a excellent result for me  but not sufficient for him: his goal for each race : TQ & win  Olivier |
Spoiled brats!
So he got rid of his X-5 then? How did you do yourself? And Gayo? |
I'm still in love of my X-5, what a car. I will neeeever get rid of it, unless I become homeless or something like that
It's just that I had to run a car made by The Mod-Master, The Brain, my friend, the one and only Olivier  Here's mine, I hope I will try it tomorrow.:wub:D http://img397.imageshack.us/img397/3069/imgp0052dg6.jpg http://img397.imageshack.us/img397/9645/imgp0053ge2.jpg http://img397.imageshack.us/img397/4121/imgp0054wc8.jpg Ooh, tight ! http://img376.imageshack.us/img376/8822/imgp0047sd4.jpg |
Whoa! You really managed to pack it tight up front there!
Reminds me of a Gary Larson drawing: A guy is sitting in the dentist's chair, with tubes and all those cotton things stuffed in his mouth. Then the dentist says "We're going to try and cram in this tennis ball just out of curiosity"... |
Hi there !
The MiD44 website (www.mid44.com) has been updated, have a look on it ! Here is my bling-bling MiD44 with its "shiny like" and polished Lunford turnbuckles :D http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/3715/img0744ca7.jpg http://img364.imageshack.us/img364/3115/img0736rx9.jpg http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/3281/img0738zr7.jpg http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/5481/img0745qg7.jpg http://img385.imageshack.us/img385/831/img0741yk4.jpg http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/8200/img0743ou0.jpg http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/7499/img0750yg1.jpg Stay tuned ! |

Well, on my home track with medium traction the B44 out of the box didn't perform as well as the good old XX4. I can't wait to get the MID conversion kit - I think it's gonna do the trick!
Weight forward = advance forward = WIN :D Olivier, is that the "H-Energy 4500" cells you are using? I bought one pack last year, and it was totally useless... (might have been a bad batch of course) Absolutely no power! |
SHY, my friend, we had a regional race yesterday on a medium-grip dirt track and the MiD44 really shined :wub
Awesome handling, jumping... the car is really fast, precise and predictable. A bit like a X-5, but with a reliable and fast tranny  You won't be disappointed, believe me ! Oh, I use the same cells, they are I-Power 4500. You can find them cheap on Fleebay, they feel much as good ol'4200 IB, same kind of brutal punch, with less self-discharge, it seems. I can't comment on the reliability, I only used them 3 times since I bought them. |
Stop teasing me!!! Are they shipped yet??? :D
An X-5 with a tranny for Dummies would certainly do the trick! |
Sorry for the tease ! I don't think Olivier has received his chassis yet.

They are not available, Olivier polished his CVAs.
|
Sponsored by DREMEL :D
My word! He even polished the springs! And left just a little paint at the bottom for identification! |
What dose he polish them with please?

Olivier, you know this would be the ultimate car for you?
http://www.ymr.no/bilder/SMP/v2003/V...r_withlogo.jpg SMP Racing Enineering's Slide (swiss). The car is 99% CNC machined alloy, then chromed... It's the most Bling Bling RC car ever made! :D (more on www.ymr.no) |
Could be.............. but I don't like RC smelly things
I would prefer this one:  http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/1654/blinguf8.jpg |
Nice one! :wub
You can always convert to B/L these days! :D |
Ye but imagine the polishing on an all bare metal seven like that, and the price tag if you dented on of those wings :bored: very pretty though, i like the bare metal ones, especially with cycle wings.
|
Not to mention the reflexes from the sun! Very disturbing!
I ran that Chrome Slide for some seasons, and it really glimsed in the sun sometimes, even from under the bodyshell. Looked like a small blitz, and it actually can be disturbing! :D Well, I'm already quite disturbed so no biggie for me... |
Off topic but all sevens should have a carbon aero screen, black exhaust cover, black 5 3/4" head lights and every part that can be made of carbon; in carbon, just my £0.02 anyway
|
agreed josh the trailing wings make the front wheels lift at speed, it can get hairy at times :woot:

http://www.ca07bon.com/index.htm there, a 100% what can be made in carbon, is made in carbon seven  |

Here they are, the first ten kits are almost ready to be shipped to the first ten drivers who pre-ordered their MiD44 conversion kit. For theses guys, just wait few days and see how the manufacturer has done a good job. BTW, have a look on theses pics:
