Yep same here mate, went from the Dogfighter 834? through to the works 91 - 93 - YZ10, and got kitted out with an MR4BX when I started back doing 10th offroad back in 2007....

Wished I'd kept all 5 now!!

It was whilst I raced this car that I improved the most ability-wise - expanding my racing solely club level to eventually competing a nationals.

I sold the car to who I thought was a trustworthy club member who I let have the car having only paid 1/2 the agreed price on the promise that the rest would be paid soon afterwards..... that was the last time we saw that club member - & my beloved Losi

i have an original XX in the my shed, complete with hydradrive the lot!! Even has one of those huge nylon wings that were the rage!

awesome car in it's day, really kicked the rc10 alloy tub in its place

Belsten 10-11-2011 09:23 PM

Yup for me it was the 870c, 91, 92, 93, YZ10 then XX4 & Pred then Cat 98 I think, then gave up

Cant get the 91-93's for love nor money now though, never even seen a 92 for sale

showtime 10-11-2011 09:23 PM

i kinda wish i still had my Serpent Veteq. very nice kit

john333 10-11-2011 10:46 PM

Corrally / Accociated RC12i for me, from around 1989/90. Went all the way from F3 to F1 at the 1/12th scale nationals over 2 seasons without breaking or even adjusting it!

Chucked my dummy out the pram and retired from 1/12th when I got onto the top heat at Nantwich national and got lapped 4 times by the late great Phil Davies!

Back in them days you HAD to be a team driver to get the good motors and cells to compete, we are lucky now that off the shelf stuff is all ballistic!

john333 10-11-2011 10:46 PM

double post, sorry

I sold my Tamiya bruiser for £400 which I miss.

I sold my near mint Tamiya rough rider (pre-rerelease) for £400 which I really regretted at the time as it was lovely.

I sold a brand new built and never run CAT XLS with a new original shell (it had a painted one too) for a mere £150!!!! a couple of years ago, which was a bit mental.

I regret selling my Tamiya Durga DB01 as it was the car I got my F2 with - dogbones all round!

Lastly I sold one of my greatest ever new-in-box kits - another unbuilt CAT XLS. Which I feel pretty bad about as I could never ever afford another one or justify it.

CAT3K 10-11-2011 11:07 PM

I sold my original Cougar about 10 years ago, one of these days i'll hopefully spot it on ebay and return it home...

My other regret was my optima mid, it "was" at my parents, and when i asked where it was they told me they'd binned it years ago during a clearout... i cried a little inside

styleone 11-11-2011 11:44 AM

:(

Firstly my Atomic Carbon CR2 SE...:( It went to a really good home but damn I miss that thing...secondly my Cat SX...When I was a kid and racing Tamiya everybody wanted a Cat...I grew up, could afford one and bought it as my 'coming back to the sport' buggy...its gone now and I wish I 'd have kept it just for nostalgias sake...I try not to get too attached to material things but RC is a cruel mistress :p;)

Sorry Mike, no chance of getting it back, going for an all out assault on the Irish Championships this season. I love that car :wub:wub:wub

I wish I'd never sold it to you, you've got to admit a good spec car and in vgc ;)

h0m3sy 12-11-2011 09:47 AM

Can't argue with that mate, really good deal it was. We start our Indoor Championship this Sunday and the Cougar shall be going all guns blazing.

:( :(

At least it's been raced proper and so forth.

Ah well - good luck :)

Get some pics up in the Schumacher section..

As for this topic. Another car I wish I'd kept, the Schumacher ProCat I purchased from Chris Wilko from Solent Models.

h0m3sy 12-11-2011 09:59 AM

To be quite honest I wish I'd kept all my old cars, my first ever car was a Kyosho Raider, then I had a Lazer ZX, then it was an Optima Mid Custom Special. My first Schumacher car was a Top Cat then a Pro Cat, I flirted with 1/8th scale nitro after that with a Turbo Burns and a Mugen Super Sport. I loved all these cars.

mtbd500 31-01-2013 10:12 AM

My new in box yokomo mr4bx that I found reduced in a model shop to £149.99. I wish they would rerelease it as an mr4bx worlds lipo edition with big bore x shocks. I may just take out a bank loan and get one.

cryer-evo 31-01-2013 11:19 AM

wish i still had my yokomo mr4bx for indoor racing it was amazing but out doors it was lacking but the ultimate for me would be the tamiya egress

dicky14 31-01-2013 11:44 AM

:mad:pro cat and cougar 2 team for me and also my serpent impact 2 and mugen mbx 5 world champ spec

SHY 31-01-2013 12:07 PM

I have two National titles. I wish I'd kept the cars, complete...

I saw in Lostallo, Switzerland all the cars owned by Garibaldi. He always ended the season by storing his cars COMPLETE, for later display... costly but really cool! :D

samd 31-01-2013 12:10 PM

Original carbon tub predator think I swapped it for a car stereo :(

paulc 31-01-2013 12:39 PM

Schumacher Top Cat for me then my Tamiya Manta Ray witch had every possible upgrade on it owell nevermind

Fallen for that one too with my old B4 - never saw the guy again

I regret selling my Losi XX the most, it was a brilliant car and really brought me on as a racer back then. Also regret selling my 'spare' new built and unused XX4-WE when in a tight spot.

coleman758 31-01-2013 02:57 PM

Mine has too be the FABS MCS No 18.

They are beautiful cars!, I sold it because I needed the money at the time, The funny thing was by the time id posted the car I didnt need the money

For you that don't know, The MCS is a limited run of 30 cars. No more will ever be made. Safe to say they are like Rocking Horse S**T.

I used to run a pred and loved it. sold my x10 coz i bought an x11, i loved the x11 but to many breakages for me, it had to go.

I recentley got my hands on a xx4 and it is awsome. i wish i'd got one years ago, only problem now is the lack of spares in the uk.

Si Coe 31-01-2013 03:55 PM

Mine was my RC10 Team car. Lent it to Coleman for the Oople race and haven't see it since......

rowanp25 31-01-2013 03:59 PM

I regret selling a couple. biggest regrets are probably my predator p8 which was bullet proof for a pred and my fireblade 2000 which was my first racer. I also regret selling my losi shocks.........Id have a near complete xx kinwald and a xx4 worlds to play with then :(

Just found this pic of my Losi XX Kinwald from the 1997/1998 era

Just remembered something on that car, nobody had my turnbuckles ;-) My Dad being an Engineer custom made them out of some anodized tubing he had from some project or another, always thought they looked good haha.

Mine was an original Tamiya Hotshot and now got one back again as a shelf queen:)

sime46 31-01-2013 08:38 PM

For me it's either myTamiya Egress or my Tamiya TRF511. Bugger.

Pacman 31-01-2013 09:02 PM

I regret selling all my cars when I was a teenager, but I had to to buy the latest competitive equipment. The Astute I most wish I hadn't sold as it was such a lovely car even though I never raced it. The Kyosho Lazer ZX-R mk2 I regret because it took me ages to get back into A-finals with the Cat 2000 that replaced it.

Since then I'm glad to say I've kept all my cars and my father's who no longer races.

traffman 31-01-2013 10:17 PM

I remember owning a carbon tubbed predator , the one with the sticker inside denoting the cars number.

Sold it for 80 pounds.
