the normal stuff really wishbones, hubs , shocktowers, hingepins spur gears. any thing that you will think you will need

Gone Elvis 09-09-2011 09:09 AM

thanks, just wondered if there was anything specific for Durangos.

Big G 09-09-2011 09:36 AM

going by my experience with the DEX410 nothing really breaks unless you have a massive crash.

mattr 09-09-2011 09:45 AM

And even then it's touch and go, i've had some massive crashes and all i've broken is the shell and the wing......

i did replace the std ballcups with the HDs tho, thats a worthwhile upgrade unless you are getting the V3 (which has them anyway)

kabilay 09-09-2011 10:10 AM

Any info on the release date from the experts?

I'm on my 3rd wing, but original shell.

I never had a ball cup pop off, but have upgraded to the HD ones purely to remove the play in them and stop the link hitting the wheel on the rear.

jonathan may 10-09-2011 03:59 PM

wonder if there is any chance of them being released before next weekend

Are all 6 turnbuckles on the 210 m3 x 43mm long like in the spares list? They also list some shorter ones but i guess they are for the servo link.

I sooooooo hope mine arrives next week. My last race was in 1998. This will be my first rc car since my Losi XX. If it doesn't arrive soon I think I will have a nervous breakdown or something.

jonathan may 11-09-2011 12:47 PM

me too

I would guess the long ones would be for the 4 front end links , I would have thought the rears would be slightly shorter.

Gunthar Guntharsėn 11-09-2011 01:40 PM

The other ones listed are 28mm. Maybe a little long for a servo link. We'll see when it arrives.

steve73 11-09-2011 06:01 PM

My one is ordered!:wub
And i already bought my Tekin Combo (7,5T) for 275 $, so less than 200 €.....

jonathan may 11-09-2011 07:39 PM

tekin ohh maybe a little aggresive for a 2wd

The 28 mm are for the roll bar set.

What motors are people going to use, going to be racing a mix of indoors and outdoors, thinking 7.5 or 8.5.

Big G 12-09-2011 07:50 AM

7.5 to start

mikeyscott 12-09-2011 07:53 AM

I've got a new Orion VST 7.5 for the DEX210, but it's now gone into my Losi XXCR

Will order an Orion R10 for the DEX210 too at some point

kabilay 12-09-2011 08:15 AM

8.5 i think for a start. Anything else i beleive will be very agressive. Especially without any weights in front.

Origineelreclamebord 13-09-2011 09:41 PM

I want to order myself a DEX210, but only if there is a release date confirmed really :(

So my question is... any news yet? As there's nothing on the Durango website yet, or anywhere else. I tried to find the patent but even that seems impossible to find in the databases. What's about this car that 'no-one' knows it's release date or more details of this car other than what details have been given to us some 6 weeks back? :eh?: :p

mattr 14-09-2011 07:14 AM

Amain have an "in stock" date of the 30th september

Adam Skelding 14-09-2011 07:28 AM

I know a lot of you have questions about when is the exact release date of the DEX210, so I'll try to answer your questions.

We will always post an official release date on our website first, from there all the major news groups (including oOple) will get a message giving them the same details.

The release date is imminent, but we wouldn't want to say a date and then have pesky customs hold our shipment up and our date to go out of the window. Our distributors have had an approximate ship date which they have passed on to their shops, these are the dates which you are seeing at places like A-main.

Best thing to do is pre-order with your LHS, most of them have already pre-ordered from us, it will be the surest way of getting a kit on or about the release date. You can still order direct through the TD website, the stock level will go live once it gets checked in.

The wait is almost over.

mikeyscott 14-09-2011 07:36 AM

Thanks Adam

I'll write off building it in a hotel this Friday then... :woot:

Pah!!! You people waiting for DEX210s have been positively overloaded with information on spec and release dates compared to us waiting for C4.1s:p:p

Rob

At the current rate the C4.1 seems to be more like vapourware than hardware.......

You racing 1/10th next year with the new cars or I suppose it's dependent whether 1/10th clashes with 1/8th again etc.

Vapourware :)

I don't like the fact that people have run the C4.1 for what seems like ages - at club meetings / regionals etc and yet the paying punter still can't buy one !

I had one on order, but have cancelled it - getting the Durango instead :)

Big G 14-09-2011 11:53 AM

If you remember the 2wd durango was actually 1st spied at Petit 2010 (1st time I knew about it anyway). yet it's been 18 months further down the line before we finally got a finalised product. Granted the team haven't had 6 cars at nationals. but still it's quite a long time to get these cars perfected ready for production and then production time which is out of CML's hands.

Look at all the variations of the DEX210. I think I remember seeing like 5 different 2wd prototypes before the real deal came along with a date of Sept 2011 attached to it.

styleone 14-09-2011 01:49 PM

2wd rango

I am a fan of pre-release hype and discussion, but there comes a time when the paying public need info to start making a relationship with their next intended purchase. Well done Durango for staying in touch with your fans and releasing photos and info regarding the 2wd buggy. The C4.1 is beginning to suffer obviously by CML not doing this. I speak to several people each week lately who have either cancelled their pre-order for the C4.1 or are considering just getting the Rango anyway due to lack of confirmed info on the CML release. Durango are doing the correct thing by 'drip feeding' info in a steady and informative way...keeps the hype up whilst not giving too much away. More info is better than none

andys 14-09-2011 02:05 PM

My perception of the Durango 2WD release, was that - yes it was under development for a good while, but quietly and not running at local clubs !
Then out of no where we saw the production cars at the oOple race, then it's announced officially almost the next day, then we are told in a matter of weeks we can buy it :)

All good IMO.
C4.1 has lingered too long..

Good thing! I'll have a look at my available funds, and if there's margin to buy a DEX210, I'll pre-order one tomorrow (on my birthday)

Any news?

So does anyone know if there is a confirmed release date yet? I haven't pre-ordered yet and would prefer to only pre-order once the date has been released.

All my XXX-CR stuff is sold and I have not raced in around 2 months! I need to get a car again>>>>!

jayst 18-09-2011 01:01 AM
