Nice one Stu, good of you to give Mike credit too !

Hex's look cool :) and all the text is super neat ! Bet you're glad you bought that cutter !

Mike Parker 16-02-2013 09:17 AM

Yeah totally agree with Ian, looking good Stu :) I do need to get a cutter in my life!!

As a painter I'm pretty easy going about the whole affair, but when it comes to the design I've been painting for Pete (Pedros) for a few years now, he's had the design for a hell of a long time going back to when Tel Atkinson used to paint full time so I can't take all the credit :)

You do Mike ! In all the years I've been on this planet I still think my cutter is one of the best things I ever bought. Of course they're not as good without the knowledge of the software but that comes in time too. I think I've learned more pushing myself with the cutter and seeing what it can do and struggling until it did what I wanted it too ( more the software than the cutter ), now I don't think there is anything it can't do... well portraits and stuff aren't so effective with it. It's more than just for lettering too !

Get one Mike, it's the future and I promise you will not regret spending the money.

gainsy 16-02-2013 02:56 PM

Many thanks for kind words guys & Mike i would never nab someone else's design without at least having the decency to ask first ;) that just wouldn't be cricket now would it :)

Here's my latest work, a Turbo Optima Mid shell for Mark
This one drove me to the end of my sanity doing the lettering but i love it & i hope you all do too

Ironman inspired shell for my tamiya supershot

eyeayen 28-10-2013 01:16 PM

Iron Shot... :lol: I see what you've done there.

Tidy job mate, the colour looks spot on too, the circuity not being symmetrical is a nice touch too, adds more interest to the body.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks guys, at the moment it is in the planning stage but once finished it will have a carbon chassis, vintage kyosho gold shocks, ironman driver etc etc, here's a pic of it as it is atm with the template chassis fitted, will be very different when finished, once complete i will post up the finished car :)

eyeayen 29-10-2013 08:16 PM

Cover that cardboard mock up in resin and you'll be well away, no need for carbon fibre then !

How has this thread not got more comments, Stu your work is so tight, very precise. That Losi 5T shell is great, so much work in all of them, love the iron shot too and the latest Ken Block inspired one is really cool, loving the gold on it looks a bit like gold leaf.
