Oh look this must be the new Schumacher cougar or an identical copy. Guess the diffs may stay in one piece tho. Where's all the carbon and bling bits?

They left it (the carbon) on the Cougar.

Big G 02-08-2011 09:30 PM

It's a sub £200 car. I would expect this to be like the R version and maybe a full fat to come along later perhaps. The B4.1 doesn't have any carbon fibre parts (battery strap doesn't really count) and that's more than £200

jonathan may 02-08-2011 09:42 PM

i have found just because a car has carbon fibre parts does not make it a better car.

Big G 02-08-2011 11:15 PM

The DEX410 had fancy Alu pods which would set you back £90 or something to buy separately, yet the car is easier to drive with the plastic R pods fitted.

Same with the B4 chassis. The plastic is often used over the graphite one.

I would like to see CF shock towers and a couple of bits of alu around the car. I do like my bling :D

mattybucks 03-08-2011 12:00 AM

The spares list has not been released yet, however Team Durango have advised that this will be available in the next week or so.

I will have a look for bling/hop-up parts and let you all know.

What are you talking about man, A; it looks nothing like a Cougar,

B; it doesn't appear to be made from stale cheese like Chewbaccas are;)

jonathan may 03-08-2011 06:20 AM

are we going to be able to pre-order spares and hopup to so can have a spares package on release.

mattybucks 03-08-2011 06:29 AM

Yes, spares will also be available on pre-order. Anyone ordering the kit through me will receive a 5% discount on the spares package. (must be ordered before the release of the car).

Thanks

Matt

jonathan may 03-08-2011 06:53 AM

Nice thanks:D

It probably doesn't perform like one either. Just better.

BostonNelson 03-08-2011 01:52 PM

So I have two on pre order and looking for some new electronics to go with both rear and mid motor layout. Have you guys heard anything about limitations in size mainly for the esc or does the standard esc's fit, like the monstrous Speed Passion?

mattybucks 03-08-2011 02:07 PM

The car has an LRP in the pic on page two so it looks like there's plenty of room for your trusty SP.

Adam Skelding 03-08-2011 02:33 PM

Speed Passion GT speedo also fits in no problem..
:)

simoncrabb 03-08-2011 03:09 PM

I'm loving 'em, the production cars at t'oople race were rather nice! And jolly quick...

They wouldn't let me keep the box art car though. :(

We're taking pre-orders now too, of course.

jonathan may 03-08-2011 04:27 PM

any one no what type of hex or pin the new 210 wheels will be

coolcars782 03-08-2011 04:36 PM

14mm hex from what I've read

t8rtot 03-08-2011 05:30 PM

if they'll release the aluminum hexes right same time/right after that'll be the best

reflexuk 03-08-2011 10:40 PM

Wouldn't a 12mm hex be better - like kyosho and touring cars?

Well I suppose its to match the new 4wd wheels & hex

t8rtot 03-08-2011 11:20 PM

I don't think the size of the hex makes a difference..

hottuna 04-08-2011 06:36 AM

I hope it will be possible to mount the hexes on the "old" 410 too. I want same rims on my 2 and 4wd... Or the the opposite, use Ass rims on the 210.

Adam Skelding 04-08-2011 07:00 AM

The Old wheels and new hex wheels are 100% re-useable on the every car.

The Hex just replaces the old washer and cone spacer. The axle is the same.

Same story on the 210...

100% Backwards compatible.

JohnM 04-08-2011 07:07 AM

Any idea when the new wheels and hexes will be released Adam?

That's wonderful news! Why did i even ask... Durango think of all details, as usual :)
Thanks for the info Adam!

Gareth Jones 04-08-2011 09:22 AM

To save me trawling through this thread, can someone confirm when these are going to be available??

Regards
Gareth

mattybucks 04-08-2011 09:39 AM

Eary September is the official Team Durango date at the minute. They are waiting for various bits to arrive from there suppliers, once received they will issue a date for release.

As soon as I know I will post it on here.

I'm still taking pre-orders for this car and will release the spares list as soon as I receive it from TD.

jonathan may 04-08-2011 12:14 PM

Looks like I will have to get a whole new set of wheels and types now unless I can find a
Way to fit losi 22 wheels.

t8rtot 04-08-2011 12:27 PM

outstanding!!!

should be a great setup

Any photo's Adam, of cars with electrics installed?

Gareth Jones 05-08-2011 06:53 AM

Can someone explain what the motor / cover is for? I can see it may be useful for keeping dirt out etc but it may also make the motor overheat??

Or are there clever vents in the body to get air flowing directly onto the motor??

Regards
Gareth

Dazzler 05-08-2011 06:57 AM

My guess is that the cover is an extension to the main body shell, and it is what converts the shell from rear to mid conversion, as the shell fits both configurations.

Adam Skelding 05-08-2011 07:27 AM

The bodyshell is a one fits all style shell.

If you are gonna run the car rear motored 100% of the time then you simply cut the body to it's full trim lines.

If you are likely to change the config then cut to the 2nd trim lines and use 1 of the 3 'cowls' included in the kit. In this config the body is cut the same, you just interchange the cowl..

I'll post some pics of my electrics install tonight when I get home...

"This product will be in stock on Monday, September 26, 2011"

mattybucks 06-08-2011 04:07 PM

I think there just being conservative over the release date. The date is still to be confirmed by TD UK.

Is that the date you will have bought and sold one by mikey?

Agreed re the date.

Nope as I'll be spending my money on other things such as a holiday. Hence why all my gear is gradually going. Leaving me with a Losi XXCR

If i have a holiday in the US mmm could purchase one there, who knows. At the end of the day it's only RC racing.

jonathan may 06-08-2011 04:18 PM

i hope its not the 26th :o

It'll be here when it's here. Season is over beyond 26th so makes no odds to me.
