Word from James Allen this afternoon was that Sky and BBC would share the production, and commentary - with the only differences being the "hosts" - Jake H etc.

At the end of the day, it's as PDW says, a business deal. The general view is that without this "share", the BBC would not be showing any of it - it would seem that it is entirely their choice to not show it all. This is why I've found it a little odd that everyone is getting pi$$ed with Bernie and Sky, when in reality, it appears to have been the BBC that has decided they don't want it all. I honestly don't think Bernie would have looked to change if BBC had wanted to carry on.

That isn't what I was on about, on Friday he tweeted about not being impressed by what happened, and that he was out of contract at the end of this year, think I read it on Autosport Friday afternoon.

Plus Martin Brundle is out of contract with the beeb at the end of the year, look to see Sky send lots of £s his way to.

Well if you already pay whatever unreasonable sum of money it is for the Sky channels, then yeah I don't suppose you're bothered. How it blows the BBC coverage away I can't imagine, though I look forward to finding out when we come round yours next year to watch :D

Seriously though - in these times a lot of people simply can't afford Sky hence the feeling of being robbed.

If the old BBC deal ran to the end of 2013, I don't see why they should share the coverage until 2014?

I think its not that simple, a lot of people are also ideologically opposed to Sky on lots of levels.

The BBC coverage has been immense, the best thing is that its informed, I dont car for swishing TV idents etc.

Personally I can live with not all being live, its not ideal but at least its going to be on BBC.
