RogerM 17-01-2008 11:00 PM

Chris,

The RB5 is a tuff beast ...... and I have enough spares that if you break it every round it'll be on the line for the final!!!

Hahaha that old chesnut hey? If only it was that simple.......... if it was just her indoors telling me it would have been different but the fact that the in-laws booked the day off work to come down made it seem a bit off if i say "yeah thanks but i'm off to race Toy Cars for the day" :D

I think we must all realise that people outside of this hobby will never fully understand us giving up weekends to "play with toy cars" as they put it  Never mind, i will be there next time!!

dan_kitty 24-01-2008 05:19 PM

bbc weather says sunny at the mo. hope it holds:)

GRIFF55 24-01-2008 06:37 PM

RogerM 27-01-2008 09:03 PM

Was a very "interesting" day ... shame I couldn't run a final but I striped the thread in the hardest to reach piece on the car ... only myself to blame.

The track layout certainly requires concentration and I am sure a little practice goes a long way as watching the fastest local guys they seem to be running a different line from what you'd think through some sections.

I'll definately be back ..... I have to practice that double-double on the back section (and practice ... and practice .......)

I really enjoyed the day, learnt alot about the RB5 and it was warm and dry .... what more could you ask for (food was good too, especially after having not eaten for 17 hours!)

unluckypixie 27-01-2008 09:05 PM

Hi all, it was a good day, I really enjoyed it. I saw several people taking pics are they on the web anywhere yet?

jim76 27-01-2008 09:34 PM

the double double is magic. does take a little getting used to, but is so rewarding once you've figured it.

RogerM 28-01-2008 12:07 AM

It is, trying to remain restrained is the key .... so easy to over do it!

I'll be back to practice as much as I can!!!

Great track ... next time I'll take the correct tires too!!

Nick Goodall 28-01-2008 09:50 AM

Thanks to all that came down and helped, i know some guys made a very long trip down/over/across so it was much appreciated by all.

Racing was good yesterday with some awesome weather at last, especially as it's still Jan!

Highlight for me was beating Pidge at Pro Evo (again)...... you love that don't you mate

Thanks as always to Lee's Mum with the awesome food as usual and Pete for not getting to annoyed when i cheered Utd's goal against Tottenham :D

GRIFF55 28-01-2008 11:16 AM

Hey Nick, you got any of the pics you were taking or was that andys' camera?

Nick Goodall 28-01-2008 11:34 AM

Hi mate

It was Andy's camera actually so yeah hopefully he'll have some online soon! I know Mick and Jordan (JCJC) were also taking some pics so hopefully they'll be up soon too

jim76 28-01-2008 12:05 PM

Lee Martin 28-01-2008 01:16 PM

Guy 28-01-2008 01:38 PM

Just wanted to say thank you to all for a great days racing on Saturday.

I had a great time and look forward to the next one.

Props to the track, the people and the food.

Shame about the broken chassis, but just an excuse to buy more!

Big up.

Guy.
