I sent an email to Tim saying I was happy to do both 10th classes to make up numbers, but I'll happily just do 4WD to have enough people to Marshall the 2WD drive.

It will be a shame if we have to cancel the 'electric' part ofo the regional.

GRIFF55 09-06-2011 06:04 PM

could you not just help each other out? maybe a bit of leccy marshal nitro and vice versa? that would be a quick fix.

Ian F 09-06-2011 06:24 PM

That sounds good Andy but I don't think we can as the rule is 1/10 Marshall 1/10 and the same for the 1/8

dick don 09-06-2011 06:33 PM

Rules is for fools, if you want any help with marshaling i'm there

jaffacake 09-06-2011 06:54 PM

If you ask me (no doubt you wouldnt have but here it is anyway)...silly bloody rules!! as silly as no drivers listing, who the hell is going to read a drivers listing & then make it there aim to burgle your house?? and do the majority of drivers live alone anyway??
anyway back to it,im happy to marshall an electric heat if need be no worries & im sure my lad would be too.

Ian F 09-06-2011 07:08 PM

The easy way to sort this is to alternate the heats so it would be 2wd, 1/8, 4wd, 1/8, etc, but ALL the electric drivers need to agree to marshalling the 1/8

i4n 09-06-2011 07:13 PM

I've never marshalled an 1/8 before, but I'm willing to give it a go :o

Jamie.T 09-06-2011 07:16 PM

Are the 1/8 heats 5min Ian? if so im happy to marshall Nitro, just remember some gloves that's all.

Due to the low attendance i think we all need to muck in and help each others classes out, otherwise we may not race at all.

Ian F 09-06-2011 07:20 PM

Heats are 5, finals are 20, gloves are the best idea I will try and get some for the people that don't have any, but I really need all the electric racers to agree to do to

Dyna 09-06-2011 07:36 PM

How are the electric numbers split in 4wd & 2wd Ian ?

If the 1/8 is 5 minute heats with 20 min finals, ill help marshal 1/8 if you boys are going to help us out

Ive never marshalled nitro's either so might be a good idea to do a quick brief to us electric peeps of what we should or shouldnt do with them when marshalling nitro's before we start the day ?

I can bring my own gloves though :woot:

teambowen 09-06-2011 07:38 PM

So sorry to miss your meeting.

Ian, Pet, Tim and Paul.

Myself and the rest of the guys from ledbury who have been racing with you guys threw the winter are so sorry we're not able to make it to your track for your round of the WRCA.
We have a electric 1/10 regional being held at ledbury on the 12th and after the last meeting i guarranted i would turn up to help out on the day.
I know most of the other guys are disappionted with the date clash as we were lead to believe there would be no clashes between the wrca dates and ledburys date for this specific reason.

Again guys im sorry Ollie and i will miss out.

Have a great day, help each other out, make it work and HAVE A BLAST.

Jamie.

Ian F 09-06-2011 08:27 PM

At the moment we have 8 2wd, 8 4wd, and 3x7 rallycross, we will give a demo of how to Marshall but it's nothing to worry about there all noise

leeboy44 09-06-2011 08:29 PM

im up for anything that will make the meeting run smooth, very much looking forward to it

Dyna 09-06-2011 08:42 PM

Well i suppose the plus side is all us electrics will make the A final

Ian F 09-06-2011 09:25 PM

And heat, if you grab the cars side on, hot exhaust.
Just grab the cars front and rear guys you'll be fine. Nice to see it all coming together.
And the red car is not a F1 Ferrari, it needs all the help it can get if you fancy running for it.

GRIFF55 09-06-2011 09:28 PM

I like the thinking there dyna!! Marshalling 8th isnt a problem guys, as fordy says, just all noise!
Have a good weekend guys, i'm sure it will be great fun as always:thumbsup:

dick don 09-06-2011 09:38 PM

Someone lend me an electric car, liking the sound of an A final. :woot:

evolution 09-06-2011 10:08 PM

I recon there will be enough of each class Ian, so there more than likely won't be anything to worry about. I'll be pressing some of the newer lads at club on friday to come and play. i'm sure a good few will book in on the day.
The weather at Talywain was a pain in the butt, so something similiar if it happens won't put me off.
Those attending will muck in i'm sure if it means making the meeting work.

Ian F 10-06-2011 07:49 AM

Booking in will close at midday Saturday, there will be NO booking in on the day, if you turn up not booked in I will try to fit you in but if the heat is full you will not be racing, you can pm me on here, email me at club email(on first page of thread) or post your details on here.

Has anyone got a new set of 2wd yellow minispikes I could buy off them on sunday?

thanks

Jamie.T 10-06-2011 08:36 AM

If you ask Paul knight (evolution on here) im sure he can bring some with him Chris, although with the latest forecast you may be better off with greens.

chris you got pm pal! can you pm me your phone number ?

thanks

GRIFF55 10-06-2011 12:12 PM

get a set of green ballistic spikes, they work well in the dry and the wet. if its 2wd use green shuey mini spikes up front with blikkies on the rear.

Ian F 10-06-2011 01:54 PM

Oh well 3 1/10 pulled out today so some easy points for the people attending

Jamie.T 10-06-2011 02:20 PM

The lack of support being shown to Saundersfoot at this round is appalling. All the time i hear people complain of not enough racing events in Wales, then when a WRCA series gets put together, the people who moaned dont even enter!!!

Come on guys, show your support and get your entries in.

Ian F 11-06-2011 07:58 AM

Gates open 8am
Booking in from 8 till 9am
Drivers brief 9.10 on the track
Racing starts 9.20
1 practice, 4 rounds of qualifying

Disappointing, but thanks for making a decision early so plans etc. can be changed.

Hope it is re-scheduled as I was looking forward to the trip and the racing.

Good call. According to the forecast it looks absolutely horrendous (I.e. The new June).

I'll be well up for the rescheduled meet as long as I'm not otherwise booked :)

ant west 71 11-06-2011 11:00 AM

dam shame its been cancelled, was looking forward to racing.

Balders 11-06-2011 11:12 AM

Sorry to read that guys, I hope it can be run at some point this year as had a great time the twice we raced last year!

Dyna 11-06-2011 11:18 AM

Thats a shame tbh. I was ready for the weather, I just wanted to race...

Will it be re-scheduled Ian ?
