As Spenner just said, the cars will be shipping soon! :)

maxoo 21-01-2008 04:11 PM

but just some pics of the final product on the web page would be nice !!!!

jimmy 21-01-2008 04:15 PM

I've seen the finished car and it looks very nice - but it appears AERO want to keep it a surprise until the last minute?

spenner 21-01-2008 04:20 PM

I think it has been more of a case.... lets get these cars out to customers rather than spend time taking pictures for internet!!!!

Everyone has seen pics of the prototype and the parts being made!!!!

Everything has been done by Aero and for a small company they have done very well....

I would love to have had the A-1 for the beginning of the Winter buy i am sure the wait is gonna be worth every uspent penny till now!!!!

As you've asked the qustion Jimmy, I'll answer... Nah they don't want to keep it a surprise, slap photo's online now :D

DCM 21-01-2008 04:23 PM

they must have a production version built though, to ensure fit and finish?? then there would be no delay in gettig kits out.... unless there were issues?

Lee Martin 21-01-2008 04:29 PM

ive seen pics of it.............muahahha

spenner 21-01-2008 04:30 PM

DCM... Lets say this, The Tekin R1 Pro will fit in just nicely....

Not long now.. if you have pre ordered im sure the wait is almost over!!!

Only pics.... have you not rubbed it in the flesh ?????

jimmy 21-01-2008 04:32 PM

They've been testing the production car yeah, and they have some snaps of the finished car but said they want to surprise people - hence the 'teaser' shots we've seen so far.

the R1Pro will fit in a micro, so a 10th buggy should be easy lol.

Mutant 24-01-2008 12:12 AM

come on Aero!!! you are upsetting Woodey!!!....... He wants it BAD!

racingdwarf 24-01-2008 10:03 AM

I hope the spairs supply flows better than there car supply

spenner 24-01-2008 10:25 AM

There will be full backup of spares...

Basically they have waited till everything is in place so there shouldn't be any issues when the car is released.

Lets remember it is still only Jan!!! Off road racing hasn't started yet....

it will be old hat  i would not hold your breath

PaulRotheram 28-01-2008 01:18 AM

And can i ask what do you mean about that paul???:eh?:

Lee 28-01-2008 08:47 AM

Aero have said there will be full spares support when the car is released. Also i dont think cars will have moved on as much as you say, afterall this car won last years national series. Plus from what you are saying the B44 is already old hat as the BJ4 WE has already been out a few years.

I think the aero will be very good when it arrives, its the only car i know of that has been developed on uk tracks in years.;)

Southwell 28-01-2008 09:02 AM

Apart from the S4/S2/S44 ;)

Lee 28-01-2008 09:38 AM

I know what you mean Ian but they all have a donor car, i mean a new car, and i know the pred has but it as struggled in the last few years

Southwell 28-01-2008 09:47 AM

Yeah, the Aero will definately be a very good car out of the box. I for one would get one if i was changing rides.

Richard Lowe 28-01-2008 09:48 AM

The Aero has a donor car though if the production version is like the prototype, it's called a Durango

sparrow.2 28-01-2008 10:46 AM

I met Danny Claes at our last indoor race and he really is one of the nicest guys I've met in RC. The car is hopefully coming out soon now as the only thing missing are the CVD's from MIP. Of course it looks like a Durango but that has been discussed ad nauseam all over the place already.

I really hope it takes off and I had the money to put where my mouth is :D

I find it cool that there is so much diversity in 4wd this year and that they all seem to go like the clappers :woot:

God I'm looking forward to the outdoor season

THE Losi xxx4 and the xxxcr where both prototypes for a year at national level befor they came out, and the b4 was the b3x for almost a year from runnig at the worlds -untill its april realised date

racingdwarf 30-01-2008 06:02 PM

I think Aero could do with putting out a few photos of the finished car ( May be some but I've not seen any) as this would put peoples mind at rest who are waiting. They appear to be very slow on the PR front. But maybe they have been cought out by the number of people ordering the car.
This looks a great car I have heard a lot about it but seen very little of it.
This I hope is constructive comment, I am not having a dig at anyone just saying what I think:D so I hope nobody is going to jump on me

Mike Hudson 30-01-2008 06:07 PM

Not being able to see some good photos of this car put me off and i went and got another car as i like to see what i want to buy before i go ahead and purchase it, i know its nice to keep things all secretive and hidden for a great surprise but im sure , not saying everyone, would like to see what they are buying

Lee 30-01-2008 07:21 PM

To be fair there are a lot of pics around of the prototype car, the main change is the plastic chassis, the concept is still the same.

What more is there to see?:eh?:

For me if I were going to part with over £250 I would want to see exactly what I was getting.(But I still wouldnt want the wife to see it:woot:)

Lee 30-01-2008 08:32 PM

Is that all it is i thought we were looking £300 plus for it?

I may have my wires crossed.

I know what you mean by seeing what your getting but to be honest nobody will really know what were getting until its put on the track. Just because its pretty doesnt mean it will work. or vice versa:thumbsup:

And Bob too, great guys.

DaveG28 30-01-2008 11:04 PM

Where can I get info on this kit? Although I have a B44 in the post it is against my spirit, much prefer racing somethng less popular!!

It sounds expensive for a car with aplastic chassis though? Or am I being blinded by carbo bling?

Chris Doughty 30-01-2008 11:33 PM

don't discount something because its 'plastic'

yes, toys are made from 'plastic'

but plastic is such a wide term for a material, Bob and Danny know their stuff, they would have chosen the material based on performance.

now I have plugged Aero, might as well Plug Atomic Carbon, the upcoming B44 option parts should make your B44 a little more unique

the b4 doesnt perform right until you use a PLASTIC chassis
it is the way to go

DaveG28 30-01-2008 11:42 PM

Yeah I didn't mean to diss plastic, it just seems for 4wd most cars are carbon with a bottom chassis and top decks! I had an RB5 for a bit though and loved the chassis stiffness on that!

DaveG28 30-01-2008 11:48 PM

Plus Jimmy keeps beating me with his Durga against my 501X, although this may say more about my driving!!
