The Rothers should be in attendance with the oOple D4 i'm pleased to say.. sent my entry to John, so I should hopefully be in!

telboy 04-12-2007 09:30 PM

Nice one Mr R.
Make sure you've got some spare shock towers. that rubber surface can be pretty grippy when the car is upside down. lol :D

Anyone know what the 'jump' situation is? like what are they going to have?

PaulRotheram 04-12-2007 09:41 PM

nooo stoopp mannn, youve jinxed it now! :p might have to double up the towers now you said that!

Hey Tel,
I was secretly hoping for a mostly flat track - would be a fresh change to be able to race and drive the corners rather than lining up for the next landing...

I do usually prefer jumps, but recently my car has done more airmiles than landmiles... LOL.

PaulRotheram 04-12-2007 09:53 PM

jumps jumps jumps :D

RSharpy 04-12-2007 10:56 PM

Anybody know what time the doors open and practice/racing starts.

telboy 05-12-2007 12:37 AM

Well, through the BIWS the doors have been opening around 7am and practice starting around 8-8.30ish. so I would think around the same times.

Jimmy, can you take some of your oOple stickies please? I've some nice clean shells that need christening. :p

Do you have any of those nice chrome ones that adam has on his shells?

jimmy 05-12-2007 12:40 AM

Last set is sat here - now with your name on! :p

are tables / chairs provided or available? no big deal but it means the difference between coming in a smart car or a vw polo is all :)

James 05-12-2007 08:55 AM

Spoke to John last night, he says there are tables/chairs but limited amounts, if you get there early you would prob get a table, doors open 7am i believe...

ashleyb4 05-12-2007 02:30 PM

anyone know about tyres i havent got time to order some off line so i either need to pop to my LHS on friday or get soem on the day on sunday. Dontwant to beleft going round with bare rims.

A

RSharpy 05-12-2007 02:51 PM

From what somebody said earlier in this thread yellow minis work better over yellow micro's but i'm taken both to be safe.

Would be nice to know if a model shop will be at the meet though?

telboy 05-12-2007 03:46 PM

I would think that Newbold model will be there, as he usually has a monopoly on the Don Valley meetings. lol

I'm sure he will have stocked up on various tyres.:eh?:

mark christopher 08-12-2007 07:07 PM

right i have a bag of schumacher yellow mini spikes from mbmodels and they will be £14 a set

not sure how many sets i have untill there delivered later. so first come 1st served

ashleyb4 08-12-2007 09:34 PM

I can no longer make it due to my dad having to work away next week in the north east so its s bit unfair to make him drive to sheffield and back on sunday thenfor him to drive up to the north east monday morning at silly hours of the morning. I was really looking forward to that to.

jimmy 08-12-2007 09:47 PM

Rather you than me at this time though.:p

mark christopher 08-12-2007 11:26 PM

if you see this before you set of anyone, there is wifi available to get on line

vader 09-12-2007 07:26 AM

Track looks realy good loads of corners:) loads of jumps 1000 laps in 5 minutes.

mark christopher 09-12-2007 09:23 AM

its deff going to be fast

Chrislong 09-12-2007 09:49 AM

Its going to be fun, but there'll be no evidence of it.... for some funky reason they think digital photography causes interference..
:S

Northy 09-12-2007 01:27 PM

What Jimmy needs is this crazy thing what Stu has, it's an analogue infinate resolution digital camera what uses one time use only memory (what comes in a circular roll) and causes zero interferance ;)
