imo i think that the atomic carbon s4 is one of the toughest cars around. No belts to break like the xx4. I havent broken a shock tower yet.
|
i have to agree there with you Ben, my dads just got one and they are built like a brick lol!
aint you just dropped ur xx4 anyways ben for the s4 ? you seem alot faster with the new car i gotta say |

well it was sorta broken when i got it but it was one of the old style chassis which curved up at the back. I dropped the xx4 simply for the reliability reasons.

the yok is a tough car!!! i must admit i personally have had shock towers made for me that are a couple of mm thicker and the out drives used to open up but yokomo have sorted that out! other than that i think ive broke a wishbone and that was due to driver error. i would say the 1 car 2 avoid though at the risk of affending ppl would be the xx4 (pretty brittle).

thank u at least somone likes a top company :) |
Hardly brittle ive hit the wall at kiddy flat out and i did nothing the bx is brittle.

i race a xx4 and the car handles relly well and feels great to drive but the price for that is 5 front shock towers and one rear and 2 front belts and 2 front wishbones in around 5 meetings and parts are expensive and the car is weak

sorry ashley i must apologise ur always right everyone else is wrong my bad ;) numpty

zx5 with a few hop up is VERY strong. early models had weak shock towers but they have been beefed up about 3 months ago
pretty much all the cars these days are very strong (except the predator x10 is a heap of junk) buy the shaft drive car if you want less maintenance though. |

thats everyone for your input, Im gonna go with the B44 ;)

The Pred's one of the best cars i've ever drove. The shear amount of power it can put down is insane.

[quote=RLGfx;70633]no, i haven't run one, i used to have yoks though, and the YZ10 was a great car at the time,
YZ10, I remeber going head on with my ZXR and snapped a YZ10 wishbone (uncut one) and that was impressive as I only got one scratch on my wishbone. Bang on and that was with a lot of modification and trial and error. Yes the YZ10 and Lazer were the two main cars in that period of time. But nowadays I have to admit Tamiya is gonna be hard to beat in standard form as that car is not only stunningly designed (ok not cleverly done on keeping the dirt out, but then again they are copying previous kyosho car designs) but the car is designed not to break unlike the rest of Tamiyas cars which break when its windy. Its rather unusual for them to make a good car. Then again if you want a low maintenance car then the shaft drive Assoiciated would be a good bet as well. Its all down to which way the scales balance for you with belts and shafts. Me I am seriously thinking about the tamiya myself. |
When i had my BX i only did 1 shock tower and a belt that was my fault. When i had the XX4 it was a money pit. I only had to think about booking in and it would do a belt and a wishbone in a matter of seconds. So i would say a BX or a BJ4.

Toughest car has to be - Kyosho ZX5 LOL!!!!

If so, I must agree. The ZX5 is as tough as a 90'ies Predator. |
