Oh we always knew waht the ca was worth as soon as we picked it up mate! We just decided it would look cooler as a banger than getting stripped for what spares were left on it and rest getting put in the crusher, think about it , it wasnt really road worthy after the roof and doors were cut off but its now getting best of 3 worlds, it gets banger raced, keeps me happy, all useable spares are being sold off, keeps restorers happy and then whats left of the car is being sold to an owner of another xk150 for spares, keeps him happy

I agree with with Danb4 - its your car, you do what you want with it matey. Classic cars are an investment, if you have enough money to invest in your hobby then thats your right to do it. Hell if I won the lottery and had £8M in the bank, I would buy a metro 6r4 to race! Catch me if you can!!!

As for restoration, I know first hand that its the small bits that are missing which make all restorations costly, if there are enough small bits missing, its not worth it, you know how many are missing so you are best placed to decided if it is worth it or not!

Right, more bevvy for me!

Talk about wasted loads of money and they didn't even need to be raced on banger race.

The car has been lying around for years and obviously had parts taken off it by many restorers. If they thought the car was worth total restoration they would have snapped it up long ago. Going by the pictures you made it look a lot better than it was so thats why all the moaners are shooting off. It was a shed you fixed it up and it was your right to do with it as you wanted.
Top job and well done for letting it roll again rather than rust away to a slow death.
Who complains when a formula one loses a £30000 front wing every week.

Go

I say rock on!

It's your car, do what you like with it. I would tell the nut-polishers to naff off. If you wanna see a mint classic go to Beaulieu.
