How many rounds of qualifying is it please?

Can we use the power from inside the hall?

thanks :)

four rounds of qualifying, one final each.

Power, dunno, last time they did have pitting inside, but you would need that confirming from some of the Caldi Massive.....

peetbee 15-06-2010 10:00 AM

There will be pitting inside and therefore power, but you'll need your own tables.
No butty van, but we'll have chocs, crisps, cans and pot noodles! We're trying to get some more catering organised and will keep this topic updated.

Jamie.T 15-06-2010 10:33 AM

Im going to try and make this event. What time does booking in open?

And what tyres generally work best on Grass tracks on my B4 and/or X-5?

Jamie.....

mrspeedy 15-06-2010 10:35 AM

Me n Dan had a look over the grassy patch outside last week and couldn't see much that would be very challenging, however ..... the brick built cutout by the entrance door world make an interesting "bomb hole" :woot:

c0sie 15-06-2010 10:38 AM

Lol, I think yours (and my) idea of challenging is very much different from racing on what you would class as a touring car track made of grass :D

You two gonna enter??

yellow minispikes (Schumacher) if it is dry and green minispikes (Schumacher and Ballistic) if damp/wet

mrspeedy 15-06-2010 10:52 AM

Cris, to me tracks are all about fun .... the madder they are, the funner they are

You bet we'll be there

GRIFF55 15-06-2010 10:54 AM

Belsten 15-06-2010 12:06 PM

Count me in too

c0sie 15-06-2010 12:08 PM

dogga dogga dogga

blue_pinky 15-06-2010 12:36 PM

We're just working to confirm a schedule for the day, and as soon as we do have it confirmed we'll put details on here...so watch this space!

And don't worry guys, the track will def be fun, the grass isnt hiding any bomb holes or table tops, but there is a bit of banked section, and plenty of shape to it so it's no snoring car track either

DCM 15-06-2010 12:41 PM

Gonna book the kids in, so lets make sure you don't have to go mad to race the track (so any cross-overs, you got a wimp out bridge)...

Dyna 15-06-2010 12:47 PM

There's nothing wrong with a slightly tamer grass track... what happened about finding decent lines, getting a good flow and not worrying about obstacles or sections of track that can damage your car & wallet if your not a brilliant driver... ?

It will be great to race on a old-skool type grass track again :)

peetbee 15-06-2010 01:01 PM

I can say that there will definately not be any cross overs and there definitely won't be any obstacles.

You do realise you said all that after racing and enjoying GNR :p

Dyna 15-06-2010 02:19 PM

Yup Si even after 3 breakages and 2 retirements at GNR i did enjoy it :) :p

Only thing that REALLY got me annoyed was the large jump, because you could not roll it when it got worn - it was sheer drop. Thats where all my breakages happened... Apart from that, i didnt really mind the rest as you could drive slower if you needed to when it got worn.

That's gonna be a excellent track next year with a few tweaks :)

Anyway, back to our excellent-to-be grass track...

peetbee 15-06-2010 03:06 PM

Oh no pressure then!

BTW, we would appreciate as much help as possible setting up on the Saturday and putting away at the end of racing, so this is an appeal to all club members who would be able to spare the time to make this meeting a success!

weeman 15-06-2010 06:11 PM

We'l both be there sat and sun eve Pete  Hope we get plenty of help... ;)

axeman 15-06-2010 08:45 PM

millzy 17-06-2010 10:45 AM

c0sie 17-06-2010 10:46 AM

Hara didnt have a BRCA card and raced at last weekend's TC Nats....your Welsh so your practically International as far as I am concerned :D

GRIFF55 17-06-2010 10:51 AM

thought you can do three meetings or something without membership in a year? (no points tho)
Just pay up you tight bugger and race the welsh:woot:

c0sie 17-06-2010 10:53 AM

The 3 free races thing is just meant for RC newbs, so lazy feckers like Millzy cant take advantage of that cos hes (allegedly!) no longer a newbie :)

oh with my driving i could be classed as a newbie-

I held both back in the day - MTRONIKS sent me out to the worlds in Florida, think it was at the Rantch Pit Stop and to the Yabta Arena or what ever its called to attend the Jap Nationals - i finished 10,157 in the worlds but tq'd the JMRCA practice round :):)

Body Paint 17-06-2010 11:48 AM

You can pay the club on the day for your BRCA if you want Mills. That will cover you for the meeting then Caldi will apply for your license for you

c0sie 17-06-2010 11:51 AM

Get it done Millzy!

I even tried to pursuade Bill to enter, but you have more chance of knobbing a nun than getting Bill-i-am's S2 fulla grass!

email address to send your entries to is info (at) caldicotrcracers.co.uk
Don't forget to include the class you want to race, your transponder number, frequencies and BRCA number please.

Track location can be found on our website at www.caldicotrcracers.co.uk
and it's going to be an old skool grass track, laid out the day prior to the event, so no sneaky practice I'm afraid!

post 2 of this thread

peetbee 17-06-2010 12:08 PM

Millzy, don't forget to let us know all your details, which will be
BRCA No = joining on the day
Class = 2wd
Frequency = 2.4
PT = I'll check when I get home

:lol::woot:

DCM 17-06-2010 12:10 PM
