First run...

So i had the chance to test my new Ansmann Macnum..I had to use the stock tires...the front was real good, but rear ..id say, middle...anyway, WHAT A CAR!!!:p. it felt super dialed (like truck should be !). I think i did 5 packs, and as fast i could run it, i never get over 55 celsius on my 6.5r, the esc app 29. But it will be higher when the schumi tires arrive .

Thomas P 08-06-2010 06:17 PM

Testted Stock shocks...way better then the losi (that are little to long)...BUT i have a Q...ihave app 8 packs, and the front end, is sick sloppy, same with the ackerman... is the Pro plastic better? can this be bought lose ?

kedal 08-06-2010 07:27 PM

You say stock shocks are better than losi ones ? Just because of the right size or better in all things ?
I've never tested stock shocks...

Thomas P 08-06-2010 07:46 PM

Hi , first Losi are to long, So with shimi tires i had to test something new..."why not the stock ones" i said to my self..i had a set done, 25/30w...length, Superb.

I have app 4 packs with stock,no sign of leak at al...if there is any shocks i will but it is the "pro" or what they are called.

Maybe the word "better then losi" was litttle to big..but i will not change stock to other :). onely thing i did..i opened my all 4 shocks, and green slimed the O-Rings :)

kedal 08-06-2010 08:11 PM

Thanks for details... so, you have the macnum, so you talk about plastic shocks right ?
I should maybe try the stock shock to, because my losi shock have the same lenght problem and they flow too.

kaylon 08-06-2010 08:56 PM

Check the link I posted before for the Master Smacker shocks or Royal Flash Shocks...they have alloy caps and are excellent...

Thomas P 10-06-2010 02:03 PM

Had nothing to do, so i did some carbon job on my stock strap...

zagonielod 10-06-2010 07:05 PM

Hy Thomas! :) Nice work! BTW.... what ESC are you using? 2,4Ghz radio? Cas the antenna wire on the RX si pretty small :)

Thomas P 11-06-2010 12:34 PM

Team Waves products.

Team Wave RB-50 ESC
Team Wave Linear motor 6.5r (like speed passion)

Rx = Spectrum Micro :)

zagonielod 16-06-2010 06:27 PM

I think I've allready asked this, but what about those Ansmann alloy shocks? As I remember, they wouldn't pop off, only that the interior has to be changed with that from the stock plastic ones? I would buy 2 front shocks of those.... Or shouldn't I ?... Opinions?

kedal 16-06-2010 07:35 PM

I just put the stock mad rat shaft to the losi shock body (with losi piston, but also stock mad rat O-ring), everything seems to be ok... so, I suggest you to buy the body shock you want, with the same piston brand, or just buy TQ/TC body shock (the color is better) and you'll have one of the best shocks.

About your losi lenght shock problem, I use losi body with the stock mad rat shaft, the lenght is now almost perfect, and no problem with the shocks. I use too the mad rat stocks O-ring.
This is for the rear shocks. I tried the same thing for the front ones, but with the stock mad rat shaft, the lenght is too small.

Killed a RB50 esc for a week ago...bought a SpeedPassion, and some new 5000mah 2s 30-40c packs...the truck is insane...

Me and my son tested the truck..

Where did you get the turn-buckles from?

Xedos 11-11-2010 01:53 PM

Pics of my daughters Macnum

I've added bearings, used Tamiya wheels, old ESC and receiver. The power of the Carson Cup Machine is more than she can handle. For now, EPA for throttle is set at 60%.

Enjoy the pics.
