Damn you Neil, you could have helped pay my salary and donated to PDSA. :D
|
I think its brushless jim (low maintenance):D
|
Phil, you work for the PDSA?
Lee, thats a shocking joke, stick to racing.:D |
I do indeed... 10years last april.. argghhhhhhhhhhh :eh?:
|
What do you do?
|
Now I'm worried... :D
Work in IT, as Network Manager. |
Ill get my coat:D
|
Ah, so you aren't dealing with the animals then. I would love to do a job like that, not IT, working with the animals.
Wheres Lee gone?:D :D |
Nope, no animals here (well one or two dogs, but they work in accounts)
I do go out occasionally on site to the Hospitals. It's quite normal to be working late at night and have an emergency come in and have to help out. Best was having to stand and hold the fluids while the vet started to operate on a rottweiler. Worst was walking in a consulting room to find a vet cleaning up after a dog had hemeraged all over the white cupboards. |
ergh...
cheers sleigh.......... |
I guess they take the rough with the smooth but it must be so rewarding.

I would love to go and live in the outbackor a safari for a while to get away from life as we know it, i think that would be cool, i dont think it would be any easier but i dont think you would get the stress of £140m projects and people climbing all over eachother to climb the corporate ladder, hence why im self employed:D
|
The thing for me about working with animals is that they sometimes really need our help. You can help some humans and they are so ungrateful. I deliver cancer feeds to people, this stuff keeps them alive and they lead normal lives but some of them are such wankers! It's always nice to get home and see my dog. No matter how bad the day has been she's always happy to see me, tail wagging wanting to play. Animals don't judge people and if you are good with them they will be good with you.
|
:eh?: Judging by the turn this thread has taken talking about dogs haemorrhaging the prospect 'new' Durango can't be that exciting!!!:)
|
I think people would be more excited if there was an oportunity to buy it;)

Why are manufactures allowed to run 1 off cars or those made for the chosen few?
When i was racing off road i know the brca stopped this in the days when HPI were developing their shaft car, the car later went into production but the BRCA stopped karl marsden (sp) running it at the time because HPI didnt know if it would go into production. This is probably the only aspect of off road i dont agree with especially if there is no plans to sell the car to the public but the elite can use it? |
really? I can't remember them banning prototypes ever?
|
Me neither... perhaps we're just to young to remember that Chris (well I know I am) :D :D :D
|
you cant release something without making it a prototype and testing it.....
|
I have raced for ages, and raced with Karl Marsden (he was in my region) for ages too...
he was schumacher for ages and then changed to HPI. |
whats the ages thign all about?
|
I understand prototypes have to be raced but i think people complained about the fact hpi did not know if it would ever be released and that it was very very quick.
|
so wat car did it turn out to be?
|
Academy Griffin :P
|
academy sb

When it was released it was the Pro 4 which was release back around 2003, this was 2001 i think that Hara and karl had the cars |
i remeber seeing that years ago, Andy G i think showed me and my brother it back when Markham held the 12th nationals
|
I always thought Prototypes were allowed - What about all the random things Schumacher used to do to their cars? Would some of those changes (even if never available to the public) not have classed the cars as prototypes? It's a bit of a tough one really as people modify their own cars all the time (Look at the BX) - So techinically does that mean the cars wouldn't have been allowed to race if this rule was in place? Just how different does a car need to be to be considered a prototype??
|
ellis ran the xxx4 for a year as a prototype remeber.
and the hotbodys was a prototype tc for a year as well |
I think its fine and its obviously great for the future if people are always trying new things, if they dont work then fair enough but i think it becomes a bit unfair when you get someone who is obviously very bright and has a bit of cash then builds a few cars and gives it to the worlds best, how do you compete with that?
I know teams try different things but 9 times out of ten we find out anyway. |
if there the worlds best then they will win any way
|
yeah i know what your saying, but it would be nice to see them do it with a production car, otherwise people will always be saying he was using a one off car etc

Looks like a tactic of snapping up a local driver in the hope of increased chances of winning. |
Not a bad tactic I have to say! :D Should have chosen me though :mad::mad::mad:
Oh well. |
be interesting to see him driving 10th......
|
yeah, does anyone know if hes raced 1.10th before?
