I can't simply pick a fave song. Its too difficult.

I'd have a list longer than the great wall of china! Whenever I put an MP3 disk together for the car I can never get all my fave songs on there.:(

I like all sorts of stuff, but mainly stuf like

Muse, Prodigy, Metallica, Linkin Park, Iron Maiden, Radiohead, Bloodhound gang, Jimmy Hendrix, Micheal Jackson (yes I know, but he has made some classic tracks), Soundgarden, Guns n Roses, Dido (good for relaxing to...honest;) ) etc. etc. etc.

I think you get my drift.

mattym0310 01-06-2007 08:01 PM

okay i have a HUGE list of bands but i could never name a favourite song. but Thunderstruck by AC/DC has got to be right up near the top.
anyway bands.....

AC/DC, Tenacious D, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Guns and Roses, Jimmy Hendrix, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Status Quo, The Clash, The Kinks, Beatles, Nirvana, Deep Purple, Van Halen, Steppen Wolf, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath

so yeah, im sure that small [:eh?:] list gives you the idea :D

So no one agrees with me ???

I like anything with drums, guitar's and shouting in really. Disturbed, Audioslave, Soundgarden, RATM, Audiovent, the older Feeder stuff is pretty good too.
Been listening to Quarashi recently, lots of meaty guitar riffs :)

PS - Prodigy concerts are PSYCHOTIC!!!:o

Psychotic is an understatement, I went to MEN in Nov 2005 and my ears still ring, I WANT TO DO IT AGAIN!

How about Baby got a temper?

My favourite has got to be Smack my bitch up, especially the video. But then there's Mindfields, Narayan which I think are ace, and Firestarter, Breathe, Spitfire, Poison, Voodoo People, Jericho, Their Law, One Love, No good - Start the Dance, Charly, You'll be under my wheels... all of them basically except for Girls...

telboy 02-06-2007 08:02 AM

I think Narayan was possibly their best track ever, why was it never released! It a travesty.

Their last album was Ok but it didn't live up to their older stuff.

Playing wipeout on the playstation with fire starter playin on the ingame music some how made you play better!:)

Where did you get that one from? :p

For me it's one of these four (can't decide)
Beastie Boys - Remote Control (How appropriate!) (And lyrics to die for)
Apollo 440 - Krupa
Couting Crows - Mr Jones
Iggy Pop with Kate Pierson - Candy

I have seen tons of bands over the years including Metallica, Fear Factory Sepultura Black Sabbath.... the list could go on and on but NO ONE comes even close to Motórhead. The loudest band - Official ! :)

The Roses were the best simple as that! Ian Browns solo stuff is awesome i've seen him play live 7 times and the atmosphere generated by the crowd is truly amazing.

Matty, you lucky git, i'd love to see The Who play live.

Rich, Rage Against the Machine were quality the venom they spat out with they're lyrics are the stuff of legend.

I've been going through my IPod and there is some well obscure indie stuff on there, some of it i haven't heard of :eh?: :D although i'm not gonna admit to any guilty pleasures!

Chrislong 02-06-2007 02:12 PM

I like the Pied Piper and the Master of Ceremonies, "Do you really like it?" ... mainly cos I used to sing it poorly to my girlfriend and she hated it! Didn't half wind her up, so i did it more... LOL... we split up soon after that. :o

mattym0310 02-06-2007 05:57 PM

if you want the biggest legend playing one of the best songs........... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5BOf-8vHoY

Swiss 02-06-2007 06:21 PM

I must agree, Jimmy H was awesome....

But I do have a soft spot for these two.. Guitar solo in the first is brilliant, and ranks him among the best;

mattym0310 02-06-2007 07:40 PM

i dont really think he is that good. it isnt really an amzing solo, kinda strange with alll the palm muting nd stuff, but it does sound good. [still think jimmy was better :D]

mattym0310 02-06-2007 07:48 PM

can i just ask why pinball wizard by the who hasnt been mentioned yet?? that is a great song

AndyM 02-06-2007 08:10 PM

and behind blue eyes...and wont get fooled again...and who are yoo.....and substitute...and magic bus...and i cant explain...and my generation...and you better you bet

so basically most of there songs :p ;)

Chrislong 02-06-2007 09:04 PM

Slash out of GnfR does the best solo's though, considering how mullered he is, he can't arf' play the quitar.

mattym0310 02-06-2007 09:16 PM

yeah, he is good, and can play really well.

Swiss 02-06-2007 09:55 PM

I saw Gun's N Roses Live many a year ago and they were absolutely awesome.... I think his guitar solo's are good, but he does add a lot of distortion to his sound...

I know someone who has been playing the guitar for some 25yrs, and they say that Mr Hendrix is one of the hardest solo's to play.. and sorry to say it, but Sultans of swing is pretty tricky too..
