I'd love to host a regional at the venue and theres even potential for an outdoor track for the summer but it needs to add up from the stables point of view! Basicly the more people who attend the more likely there will be a future in the Stannington venue! Thanx to all that came this week! Next round I hope to have some proper 'mens' jumps and a longer track. everyones welcomed to their own opinions on the next track build? But please turn up & help :D:woot::thumbsup:

hazzelarator 10-02-2010 06:32 PM

Forget valentines day and start getting excited about the next round of the NEWS series at Stannington the week after!:thumbsup:

chrispattinson 10-02-2010 07:49 PM

chrispattinson 15-02-2010 09:45 AM

Did anyone try GRP conespikes?? I cant see me ever using the sets I have here.

chris68nufc 15-02-2010 06:35 PM

Yeah Chris...they are the best tyres to use at Stannington! Make sure you glue a few sets up though. They dont wear very well.

gazbaz2 15-02-2010 07:19 PM

yellow mini spikes, ran a set all day, they looked like new at the end hardly any wear at all:thumbsup:

chrispattinson 18-02-2010 02:25 PM

Is there power available at Stanington, if not, can I use a genny?

I think you need to learn how to stab that left stick a bit harder Gary.

hazzelarator 18-02-2010 02:29 PM

There is power available at the venue!

How many 240v 3 pin outlets are there or are we all plugged into one via extensions?

What time do doors open and racing start?

Catering. Bring your own I'm guessing

May get there if I don't hit the red wine on Sat night :D

hazzelarator 18-02-2010 03:13 PM

We're all plugged into two sockets which has always been fine in the past (touch wood) Doors open at 9 & Catering is a bring yer own situation although theres a farm shop & a garage just up the road that do homemade sarnies etc

turbobrick 19-02-2010 03:43 PM

I'm going to try some random tyre choices out this sunday, see if I can find a set that works well.

Only because I've got no minispikes either :cry:

Peter

hazzelarator 19-02-2010 03:47 PM

Well looks like im in good company having no full spikes either! :( I can tell you one set to not even bother with is mini spikes! Thats all I had last time and it was like driving on ice. I have a cunning plan up my sleeve for tyre choice though  (theres not good odds on it actually working)

gazbaz2 19-02-2010 05:23 PM

I'll be taking a few sets of minispikes up to sell on the day if any1 wants any

hazzelarator 19-02-2010 05:28 PM

Are they on rims or not mate? Also how much? I may take you up on that offer depending on how well my 'stand in' plan works! So you can probably put me down for a set now! :woot:

gazbaz2 19-02-2010 05:33 PM

no there not on rims matey and there £15 for a full set

hazzelarator 19-02-2010 05:38 PM

Cool cheers, you got any rims that will fit my BJ4? I only have 1 set of front wheels for it and its a ball ache to change tyres

gazbaz2 19-02-2010 05:40 PM

yeah i should have some used 1s knocking around some were, got no new 1s like

Do u mean mini pins?? I thought mini spikes were the tyre of choice??

There should have been a control tyre IMO so that everybodys got the same chance.
