|
So far so good!

heres a pic of them both. I had to paint the bodies a solid color real quick to get them ready to run tomorrow. Ill have custom painted bodies in about 2 weeks.:)

No missing those on the track! I had to put my shades on...:)
What are those tires on the truck and do you think thats a bit too much "wing" on it? |
Those are Losi Taper Pins. On the track Rob races on they actually grind the trend off and get more traction by the tire being a complete slick.
Now when I used to race on a track like that you needed all the wing you could get, because if you got off the line, you lost traction quickly, so the wing really helped. It is not uncommon to see the cars and trucks pull wheelies due to the traction when the conditions are right. |

well said:thumbsup: |
thats interesting since we run proline holeshots and ribs up front i take it the surface must be different to our hard packed dirt we run on
|
The surface is hard packed clay. Wants it gets worked in about the only tire u can run is slicks. Theres alot of traction.
|
Heres a video fo my buggy the 1st day out with it. Its the all yellow buggy.\\

normally the tracks that can support slicks or almost bald tires have a wet tacky feel to them. It depends on the amount of clay in the dirt.
If your track has a layer of loose dirt on top then something with a tread is going to be better. Unless so many cars run on it that a "blue" groove from the rubber develops. Then a lower pattern like a taper pin or work out tire might work. |
Thought it was about time I put some pics of my car up for all to see

Anyone know what the other extra ball ends are for, the ones with a 30º or so bend in them? Also any other shock pistons that fit, the kit ones are thinner then the space between the e clips on the shaft. I dont like the play in the shock action.
|
they are to give added clearence between the rear wheel and ball stud, as for the sloppy pistons just buy a pack of m3 x 0.1 mm shims, hope this helps
|
Thanks, I figured the kinked ball ends were for rim clearance, not sure wen that would apply....for really wide rims I guess.
I will continue my thoughts in a new thread, to not stray this one off course ;) |

Here's my Rat :-)
|
It's the azarashi shell ? The wing too ?
|
yep it's the azarashi shell and wings (you get 2 slightly different wings - 3rd pic has the alternative wing fitted)
|
It's for the RB5 ? It's fit perfectly for the Mad Rat or not ?
|
It's a perfect fit - you can use the trim lines moulded into the shell.
I use velcro to hold the shell on rather than body clips so the shell has to match the chassis pretty closely - and it does. I'll post a pic of the car tonight from the underside if you want, to show what the fit between the two is like. |
Yes, I'm waiting for your pics :)
Thanks |
