Looks like it'll be another good Mid-West meeting tomorrow.

Had the 70th entry this morning, Weather is going to be good and I'm off for a relaxing holiday in Mexico when it's all over.

Just spoken to someone who has just been down the track and they have oppened it up a touch to make it a bit faster as it was a touch on the slow side.

A

matdodd 28-04-2007 08:30 PM

Faster? it was fast the other night!

Kopite 28-04-2007 08:54 PM

too fast for you though Doddy, judging by the breakages! :D

matdodd 28-04-2007 09:00 PM

ye mate thats just what happens on a bit of track thats 3ft wide & flat out!

_sleigh_ 28-04-2007 09:42 PM

Best all be 8ft minimum by the morning, or there'll be tape measures at dawn. :D

matdodd 28-04-2007 10:41 PM

I said that  O well should be fun:D

On behalf of Oswestry Radio Car Club i want to say thankyou to all of those who raced this Sunday, especially as all drivers had to swap bugs between heats. The reaction from most people was very positive and the delay to races was minimal as everyone helped as best they could by swapping from car to car on the start line.

We are working on the transponder issue and will have it fixed soon.

Today was ace even though i didnt have the best of days result wise qualified last and finished last lol

But i did have a good go at being fast and when i didnt break it i was. I didnt have a run where somethign didnt go wrong my main problem was the steering. So i only finished one race. The anoying thing is i had a practise afterwards with mike elliot, kevin and garath and it was flying. I was really happy with it.

The brushless went ace. It had loads of power as i found out when i first tried it. Wheelied and flipped upside down just by flicking the throttle.

I want to say a huge thanks to Phil Sleigh For thesensor wire and all the help. And another huge thanks to Brian Preddy for the narrow motor plate. And thanks to craig jones for the wishbones.

As for results.

Tom Yardy TQ

A final results:
1st Phil Sleigh
2nd Matt Dodd
3rd Tom Yardy
4th unsure
5th Paul Robinson
6th Me (Not in the A though :D the g)

The track was ace and it was really fun i finally said Hello to Tom Yardy after meannig to since The first rounf of the Kiddy winter series in november.

It was a shame about the transponder problem we had but we got it sorted in the end.

Bring on the 2wd regional.

Was a very good days racing for me, finshed in my highest final yet, the F final whoooo, and finshed 6th, but the funny thing about this little story, is i was racing a b4 weaing (sorry for spelling) in at 1640 :D

Thanks to everyone who raced, and I personaly look forward to the next big meet at oswestry rcc!

Well done to the Oswestry club for running the meeting. It was a bit annoying to begin with about the transponders but once you got to know who you were taking from and passing to it was fine. The track was good once i stoped braking the car on the markers . After the first 2 rounds of qualifying i had completed 3 laps after problems caused my me in the prep of the car. Managed to qualify 4th in the E after two manic rounds including one round where i drove most of the heat with a broken wish bone.

I am starting to make progress now with the car so am looking forward to the next round at Kiddy:cool:

GRIFF55 29-04-2007 08:57 PM

Yeh, thanks all for a GREAT day!!!! Only managed 2 out of three a final legs, but hey, started seventh, finished seventh. Roll on the next regional!!

oH, FORGOT TO MENTION, just got home!!!!!!!!!!!
