We have a couple (if not more) A final candidates from the North East ;)

Lee 13-06-2007 09:33 AM

I`ll be there showing how to do it F5 stylee:D

wacattack 13-06-2007 10:11 AM

In order to compete in the 4WD event, do you have to qualify independently of how you do in 2WD?

Reason I ask, I dont run a 4WD and consequently havent taken part in any of the regionals. However, I am running in the 2WD regionals.

If I choose to do so, can I compete in both 2 and 4WD for the regional finals (borrowing the bulks car) without doing the 4WD regional series?

Cheers peeps

Stu 13-06-2007 04:17 PM

You can do 2wd & 4wd Wayne.

I would think you would be in for a shot of the title.

Myself I'd like to make the 'A' on one of the days so that when Steve Brooke comes to ask questions for 'Racer' I can give him some proper random answers.

PaulRotheram 13-06-2007 04:26 PM

i wouldnt mind going to one of these.. i've not been to an end of season final before.

Nick Goodall 13-06-2007 04:34 PM

I'm not doing enough to qualify but have been told i should be able to enter no prob's also........

I'm also attending as an F5 so hopefully will be fun

Wraggy 13-06-2007 04:49 PM

so if you do quite well in the finals nick will that lower your "f" grading for next year ?? or is that only on regional's ???

Southwell 13-06-2007 09:59 PM

The meeting does not affect your license.

Thanks mate, would be nice but dont think it will be easy, there are plenty of good drivers out there that dont have a formula that reflects their ability.

Ive been comparing how ive done to how the other 3/4/5'd have been doing in the Nationals, in the 2 ive done ive finished the highest but others have been close, lets wait and see :p

Northy 14-06-2007 11:48 AM

Maybe we can sort it so all the NE (and maybe NW) lads pit together so we can help each other out? I'll be down there pit bitching I think anyway ;)

Lee 14-06-2007 01:57 PM

Sounds good northy, see if we can get Mr Lowe there also to "manage setups" on the BJ4`s:D

It was kinda like that last year at TIverton - we turned up, saw someone we knew (Gaz and Baz), shoved everyone else outa the way and slung a few tents down! Awesome weekend:)

spenner 14-08-2007 11:30 AM

Mr Truman,

Have you got a list of people entered for F2's at Silverstone, from our region???
Have we got many going ??
Any news on the track situation at the moment...

Mr Goodall,

Have you decided if you will be coming to the F2's ?????

Southwell 14-08-2007 11:38 AM

Hopefully Tris gave Phil my entries....

jim76 14-08-2007 11:46 AM

anyone know if the GRP tyres will be allowed or is it just Sch/Ballistic nominated tyres?

_sleigh_ 14-08-2007 11:52 AM

Only Schumacher Mini-Spike or Ballistic Buggy Mini-Spike at both events

DCM 14-08-2007 12:15 PM

Jon,

Yes I will be there, Lee's going to pit for Me and Wraggy on the Saturday and on Sunday i'm running the very kind Mr Truman's D4 so should be cool.

Looking forward to it anyway :)

CharlieF 14-08-2007 12:24 PM

Hi Guys.
For all of you wondering if you can enter F2,s or F3/4/5's etc(whether you have qualified or not through the regional competition) get an entry form (either from your RR or download one from the BRCA website), fill it in and give it to you Regional Rep and leave it up to him to get you an entry. I am certain he will be able to get you in.
In all my years of racing I do not remember any FULL End of Season Finals entry. Dont miss out - get the entry form filled out.
Regards
CharlieF

Nick,

Good man,
Whilst it is another tough competitor it will make it a good meeting.
Oh, and you are from the mid south so it all adds to our strong team this year!!!

Indeed competition is always a good thing, shame we won't be able to run the M3 Step-pins though, the cars were ace with those on!!

spenner 14-08-2007 02:58 PM

Big shame about the step pins!!!
I had the car pretty much sorted with them on, although i don't think they would be that good in the wet!!!!
Im hoping there is more grass on the track, with all this rain we have had there must be some green on there now.

Should be good meeting anyhow, some very quick guys if they all attend!!!

Nick Goodall 14-08-2007 03:14 PM

Do you know of many ex-racers such as myself that will be there? Will be fun to catch up with some old faces

spenner 14-08-2007 03:19 PM

Could be Mark Stanley, Bret Birch, Russell Williams ....
You normally get a few of the top guys come down Yardy,Sleigh and others....

Not sure who else has started up again that would be there....

_sleigh_ 14-08-2007 03:25 PM

I'm sure the Mid-west can come up with a few good names to send along. ;) ;)

I might have to invest a bit of time trying to convince our trump card to attend. (iff eligiable) :D

Would be funny if it was Craig :D

I remember Mark Stanley, certainly rings a bell anyway.

CD by any chance ?? ;)

spenner 14-08-2007 03:38 PM

That would be quality!!!!
just out of interest has Drescher ever one the F2's, did they even have them back in those days ?????

emzy 14-08-2007 03:41 PM

I hadn't thought of Craig!

He's one reserve higher than me for Stotfold... I feel so special...!

Nick Goodall 14-08-2007 03:42 PM

That's a good point, i wonder if he has??

Speaking of others that did the F2's I did them along with Chris Doughty back in what must have been 96 at Kiddy?? Those were the days we ran ribs and silver ifmar pins at the track!

ashleyb4 14-08-2007 03:58 PM

How many other people have entered the juniors from the mid west phil????

_sleigh_ 14-08-2007 03:59 PM

The first F2's I remember racing at were at Holbeach. I went along as a reserve (those were the days) and made hte A from heat 1. I remember running Sch. Green Mini-Pins on my Cat EC.

Yeah it was Craig I was thinking about. Not sure whether he's elligible, or even whether he'd be up for it.

Nick Goodall 14-08-2007 03:59 PM

Also, anyone know if Brian Harris will be gracing us with his presence?

GRIFF55 14-08-2007 06:29 PM
