Paulmay79 21-09-2009 04:41 PM

You will have to look it up mate just as i did with the build manual.

stampede vxlboy 21-09-2009 04:48 PM

rb5 a diffrent diff all together

stampede vxlboy 21-09-2009 04:51 PM

i have just order a b4 complete slipper clutch and do i need a diff to stop the loud noise

Paulmay79 21-09-2009 04:52 PM

No mate the rb5 diff will fit no bother. Its almost identical. Im going to keep the x-pro diff but use all kyosho components.

The b4 components are imperial so wont be a direct fit. you will need to do abit of reeming.

stampede vxlboy 21-09-2009 05:19 PM

the b4 slipper set does not fit it then

Paulmay79 21-09-2009 05:21 PM

it will if you open up the hole in the middle to the right size.

DCM 21-09-2009 05:29 PM

I did say, in PM, that you would need to ream out the holes, the AE parts are, I think, 5/32" and the Ansmann is 5mm, a little bigger.

I'm using TOP racing trust bearing with Tamiya diff Nut and screw from 416. Need some filing though.

stampede vxlboy 21-09-2009 06:02 PM

so what the problem with the car then . i will cancel the
order for the b4 slipper set then if they dont fit then .what fits it then? diff and spur without messing about drill holes in new stuff

FOR FUCK SAKE!!!!!! Vxl just read the thread its all explained. its not rocket science!

bigred5765 21-09-2009 07:20 PM

and 14 Min's between questions, wow impatience is a virtue

Paulmay79 21-09-2009 07:22 PM

I fully understand that others need more help than some but vxl just does not listen at all!

jim76 21-09-2009 07:32 PM

it also very clearly states early in the thread that an RB5 spur and slipper pads will fit straight on with the existing slipper plates, so will no doubt be the easiest and cheapest option.

To be honest, the car goes fine with the kit spur, it's just a little louder due to the material. Changing the spur will not make your car faster!

stampede vxlboy 21-09-2009 07:36 PM

i have just read all the comment mate so there you go . its funny how my other cars dont do it. i have taken the diff to bits its all fine apart from all the noise so its not the diff its got to be the slipper clutch

Take it to your local club and let someone who knows about cars have a look.

Your car ran great at the meeting you came to. Stop bashing it about in the street! That seems to be how you keep breaking them!

johnboy 21-09-2009 07:54 PM

Vlxboy why dont you ever listen to other people trying to help?

jameswilkinson7 21-09-2009 08:03 PM

Simon. If you want help, Then come to the meetings. The standard mad rat is all you need to start in racing... Dont try to run before you can walk:thumbsup:

stampede vxlboy 21-09-2009 08:06 PM

its like i said before its too hard to get there on the buses and carry everthing there

The first Rule of beginner advice!! Learn to drive before putting in faster motors etc. Sadly they very rarely listen, then complain when they crash it at full chat and it breaks!
