BRCA approval is down to the BRCA.

These packs are designed to meet and exceed the brca, efra and roar specs.
They Will be submitted to all the above EB's

Mr.Orange_swe 31-07-2009 08:21 AM

This will be great saddle pack for next season. I have heard about these earlier.

Suddenly I got in my head the song with Hypertraxx, Darkside.

Short answer to your question is 'no'.

The Electric Board now only allow submissions once for Lipo approval for the following season. If this is the case (and pending homologation) any Lipo cell submitted now would not be BRCA approved until 1st April 2010.

Batteries - Lithium Based Lipo Packs Rule 2.8 - It follows that any new battery becoming available during a calendar year can only be used from the 1st April in the subsequent year. i.e. No new batteries will be homologated during the calendar year or racing season.

certainly does not mean u can not use then at non santioned BRCA meetings though

as has been said they have been designed to pass all the requirments.

Mark - Thanks for pointing that out, I completely agree with you there, any club/meeting not running to BRCA cell homologation lists can run anything they want.

I think the guy I answered specifically asked if they would be BRCA legal when they became available and the answer to that remains the same.

From speaking to Mac it seems they were being sent out yesterday and today so the shops should have them already or at least by the weekend. I got mine today, looking forward to giving them a bash on Sunday!

Jamie.T 15-10-2009 08:48 PM

I get that they are now available, but WHAT shops have them is what i wanted to know so i can order some.

No we wont be carrying them for the time being, since we already have the full range of Vampire Racing LIPO's available and have just added the TEAM EPIC 40C LIPO's to our range also (which are both awesome AND good value for money too, even though they are 40C). We currently distribute both of these brands oursleves and with the usual suspects from LRP, Nosram, Reedy, Core and Orion all already in stock at the shop in good numbers there is no requirements for us to add any more brands to our already large range at present.

Both are taped together in my pit box.

I've got a pass out to race this weekend if you're racing. If so where's on as I've not got a scooby?
