rich_cree 12-03-2007 01:42 PM

Thansk for the tips, any idea what kind of pressure I'll need? 50psi enough?

jimmy 12-03-2007 01:45 PM

I usually spray around 30 psi with faskolor

bigred5765 12-03-2007 04:15 PM

15-35 psi depanding on how small a line im spraying, 50 psi max is fine

DCM 12-03-2007 04:25 PM

what do you clean out the dively with, and how long between coats?

bigred5765 12-03-2007 05:46 PM

i leave mine 6-8hrs near radiator or over night, and clean with plane clean warm water,
make sure its gone completly clear, no light blue shades, before next coat,

DCM 12-03-2007 05:48 PM

cheers fella, got some on the way.

Maybe, it might be worth people clubbing together and buying in bulk.

bigred5765 12-03-2007 06:15 PM

i asked divelys direct who is there UK importers no reply lol typical??
also asked je spares to get some 32Oz bottles they said may be if enough ask
SO GET ASKING

telboy 12-03-2007 09:42 PM

I asked them if they would be getting any 32oz and they told me they wont get any because of the shipping costs?!

I mean I always order 3x bottles of 32oz, and the way I'm getting through it I'm gonna be using around 15-20 of 32oz bottles a year!:o

So it'd be well worth them getting it, id rather get it from over here as it will arrive quicker, rather than having to think 'ooh I'm going to be needing some in a month or so, so I'd better get it ordered and hope it gets here on time'. at least if i ordered it from je i'd get it in a couple of days rather than 4-5week......
......or if someone over here could make some identical! cos the parma stuff just isn't as good.

i asked divley about distributing it over here but they just said that they weren't intrested in distribution over here.....strange.

DCM 12-03-2007 11:51 PM

Tell, if you are VAT registered, why not try and get a trade account, you would make a killing.

bigred5765 13-03-2007 12:01 AM

they just dont seem interested in getting it to the uk

DCM 13-03-2007 12:06 AM

more like, they are not interested in selling a small quantity to the UK, I am sure JE knows how good this stuff is, but buy the smaller bottles as they just don't want to be realy involved.

can you give me the contact details for divelys?

my step dad does different kinds of liquid mask and is interested in importing new stuff for trials.

bigred5765 13-03-2007 01:18 AM

big si 13-03-2007 12:22 PM

cool thanks

big si 13-03-2007 01:29 PM

right guys i have spoken to my step dad about this and he may have just the product.

he is sending me a sample today for me to test so once i have done said tests i will report back for all of you to comment.

can i ask what it is you guys like about divleys mask???? anything in perticular???

for you guys that use loads of the stuff how would you feel about 20 litre drums of mask????

telboy 13-03-2007 08:25 PM

:o 20 litre!:o

Holy sshhh..............

the divleys stuff is stronger and easier to use than the parma fasmask. Its more forgiving when it come to solvent based stuff and so, is just better.

unfortunately i don't do THAT much so am not vat registered. Although I do a lot, I do like to have a break from it every now and then, just to gather my inventive thoughts.

DCM 13-03-2007 08:42 PM

I wouldn't have anywhere to store 20litres, let alone have a way of decanting it neatly into a smaller container.

big si 13-03-2007 08:57 PM

20 litres is the biggest container we do liquid mask in

we can do it in 1 litre containers

i will do some tests as i say and see how it works

Telboy and bigred
can you pm me your addy and a contact no if possible so i can have a word with you about liquid mask and maybe sort you out a sample too so i can get some other views?

bigred5765 13-03-2007 10:32 PM

just finished 3 more using divelys, to be honest it goes along way when u spray it, but if u wanna post me a little ill test it for ya o and i can take 20 litres at the right price if its OK and ill decant it as I'm doing that now with my tyre remover have 100's 1 litre tubs and bottles

big si 14-03-2007 12:02 PM

i will do some tests with some of uor stuff to find the best adhesion level (we have 16 different levels) and when i have a short list i will give you a shout
