Yes i have hara's old car / pinish
but no driver realy of that caliber ran it for long just a quick outing then back to Gerd
yes your right lee with out adding weight it would probably be weird
but we never know....gerds clever
i think i can say that Gerds design practises are ace and this car will be first class ,fully tested...no probs at all

I do agree with you Gerd is a genius and the car is a masterpiece, if it comes as it looks in the pics.

I think i will send you a pm mr rebel, i may a have a project for you ;)

Rebelrc 18-06-2009 07:01 PM

PM away:)

Rebelrc 18-06-2009 10:26 PM

To me the new car looks as good as the famous prototypes but much more refined...not at all compromised though......just easier to work on/maintain/durability/SENSE!
i personaly think this car will be quicker due to the odd mm here and there that has been added/shaved in the optomum directions determined by the old prototype project (Hara/Newman/Pinish/honigl/Reinhard/clauss/drescher/pavadis.etc):D
the old cars were built up from donor parts of numerous other touring/offroad cars and were very brutaly sucessfull for a home made basic car and phenominaly easy to drive fast! but this new car is all gerd strenge not just a couple of components...he has looked at and designed each component personaly so its got to go quicker and be more durable ( he likes to make cars that finish a season, not just a race if youre lucky, or a lap realisticly:lol:)

I've just noticed that there's no mention of the brass weights  i'm presuming that the bottom section is the hopup's. :)

dave-p 23-06-2009 08:44 AM

durango

i must say i agree with all the other guys on the looks and layout, only time will tell if it is going to set the buggy world alight, i am really looking forward to follow its progress at grass roots level just to see how we mere mortals will cope with it.
going back to old cars though a really nice looking xx4 with a nice paint job will still give some of the lads a bit of a stiffy. good luck to the durango boys.

Dear customer,

Thank you for your DEX410 pre-order.

We had hoped to receive the kits into the UK at the end of this month but, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have been informed today that there is likely to be a delay of approximately four weeks, meaning the kits will not arrive in the UK until the end of July.

While the delay is disappointing for us, and for you, our policy of bringing the most reliable and best engineered RC racing cars to the market means that we cannot, and will not, release a kit which does not meet our very high standards.

We hope very much that you will understand this and accept our apology for this situation.

In the meantime, we have now completed the spares and options price lists, which we will be happy to send to you should you wish to receive one. If you would like a Team Durango DEX410 price list, please confirm your delivery address (as we do not have addresses for all of our pre-order customers), clearly stating your country of residence.

Once again we would like to thank you for your continued support of Team Durango. Rest assured we will deliver your new DEX410 to you as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

GRIFF55 24-06-2009 01:43 PM

, but its a good thing they want the car right before public release:D

samd 25-06-2009 03:52 PM

Ive got a PDF of prices and options, but it wont open:mad: says it has a file error, any one else have a working copy?

Here you go... £425.00 for the kit:cry:

Thats gunna hurt..

..and no word yet as to how much the brass weight kit is...

ben 25-06-2009 04:07 PM

Id suggest not breaking a rear shock tower at £22 a pop

bigred5765 25-06-2009 04:13 PM

true, but i bet there almost indestructible

It says £445 on that list, still thats £5 cheaper then I thought it was going to be:D

As for prices of things like shock towers, hopefully, if what they've said so far about the quality, you need to have loads of spares in the race box, unlike the hateful B44 I had last year, just about £230 for the kit, then another £300 needed in spares:mad:

Wow.....nice driving there then.....

:p

dan_kitty 25-06-2009 04:56 PM

looks like a lot of things on the list are still quite cheap, rear/front wish bones 6 quid etc..

hopefully the more expensive bits will be strong, they look strong anyway

bring it on:)

GRIFF55 25-06-2009 05:07 PM

Agreed Dan, i think we should all just wait and see this thing of beauty on the track and in the flesh. Only then can we say this is strong, this is weak and so on.
Can't wait to get mine anyhow:thumbsup:

nitrokillah 25-06-2009 05:23 PM

wow guys .
How often do you break a rear shocktower ??? :o

As for the spaires list ; it's Obvious that for a new company , launching a new kit ; it wasn't going to be cheap .

c0sie 25-06-2009 05:37 PM

I used to break a B4 rear tower every fortnight :(

telboy 25-06-2009 05:55 PM

We can't all be superstars Cris! :p

I'd better get a bigger spares box!!:woot:

c0sie 25-06-2009 05:59 PM

You lining yourself for one of these Tel?

I wonder if any of these will show themselves at the Euros?

telboy 25-06-2009 06:28 PM

Maybe, not sure.
Depends how cheap I can get one for.

They do look the nuts though, and I think will be well worth getting.
:D

:lol: Nope, nothing to do with my driving, the car is garbage, falls apart just by looking at a blade of grass, ask Jonathan Brown what he thinks of the strength of it, he was breaking wishbones without hitting anything at the EoE Regional at Ipswich a few weeks back:o

If it was a more main stream sort of product, Watch Dog would be after Associated:p

Back to the Durango, I'm hoping it'll be a bit like the 5 series BMW I had as a kid, everyone said I'd never be able to afford to run it, but in 34,000 miles, nothing went wrong, or fell off:D unlike the Vauxhall Senator that followed:cry:

stegger 25-06-2009 08:09 PM

I think the prices are quite reasonable :D granted the shock towers do seem expensive but you pay £14 front and £15.99 rear for cat SX towers and there's not half the amount of carbon fiber in the sx version as there is in the durango's. Can't wait, just need to get the money together

maxoo 25-06-2009 08:31 PM

I never seen a 4mm carbon shocktower broken...

GRIFF55 25-06-2009 10:29 PM

bigred5765 25-06-2009 10:50 PM

I just check back the chinese site again to see if any more news, they added some english descriptions, so I think is also a sample kit but with the box only.

So not suprises, we still need to wait until end of July!
