barnyard 12-02-2007 12:30 PM

i have to say the track is unique and i for one struggled with my cars all day, but life would be boring fi all indoor venues were polished floor.

The track was good and allowed for some very good action and we got a good advert as to why direct soldering batteries can be a disadvantage but hey it gave us all something to talk about

Barry Williams 12-02-2007 12:33 PM

Must say that it was a great day yesterday, thanks to Gary, Greg, Glenn, Danny W, Mad Dog, Liam & all others for help with track layout on Sat.
Well done to all who ran the meeting, it went swimmingly i think.
Also well done to our Greg for best ever result at Regionals, top driving (unlucky in 4wd BQ eh? bugger lol)
Also well done to Teesside lads, Pete Watt, (Double A Final), Shanners, Pembo & Leggy for first regional A finals, excellent stuff. Thank to Kev for the ace soldering & Adam for the quick speedo set up, shame about your own speedo.
Many thanks to all who attended, dont think i have ever seen as many off road drivers at the warehouse, long may it continue, a brilliant set of indoor regionals, well done all involved at Durham, Batley, York & Teesside, hope it all transfers over to the outdoor season & we get over 100 drivers at each outdoor event, that would be mega.

Barry

losichris 12-02-2007 12:47 PM

Vader says 'Yes' to Teeside

Well done to Rich for breaking 3 wishbones and still not giving up!

Well done to Tom for showing us how to drive a XXX cr.

Well done to Vermin for making his first 'C' final.

Well done to Dan (tool time Tim) for putting a new roof over his head.

super__dan 12-02-2007 01:56 PM

Vader, your picture just gets better and better.

After slogging my cuts out moving and cleaning I finished moving into the new gaff at 8pm last night. I'll bore everyone with the stories at the supercup but last night my fridge blew up (well massive bang and sparks out the back :( )

Turn around for the XXX at Teeside, wasn't it last year Lawson was top Losi at 8th in the B???

http://www.tvsquad.com/media/2006/03/homer-doh.jpg i forgot to thank 1 major sponsor of mine, (Team Barry) for the use of his xxx cr, the car went really well, it was just down to me having 2 left thumbs and driving like a spoon barry at some point must have been cringing, but no breakages wahooooo, so cheers matey for that i really appreciate it.

LiamD 12-02-2007 05:48 PM

Well done Leg-end and Shanners for making their first A finals. Also well done to Watty for being the only TRCC driver to make both A finals.

Shanners just fully ragged it.

Barry

I was amazed by how well us Teesside racers done at this competition since the driving standards were top quality across the board from all racers. There was some very close racing in the A final, with a huge amount of etiquet (sp) on track and off with true "bumper to bumper" racing. It was a shame I was knocked to the back of the pack for a bit but soon made it up back to 6th, giving me a chance to have a good battle with greg for 5th place.
Still, Im happy with 6th in the A as I wasnt expecting to be that high up & havnt raced much lately :)

Again, congrats to everyone and hope to see everyone again at the Nationals / Outdoor regionals soon

I was close behind Adam when the thermal overload put the brakes on and went up the back side of his car, wondering what on earth was going on! Then on the next lap noticed a cloud of smoke hanging around near race control :S

Not sure why but my image-host server seems to on some kind of go-slow, you may have to be a little patient.

I'll add a mini-report tomorrow - I can't be arsed to write it up tonight.
