That gives me an idea!!! ;)

msmith105e 27-01-2014 07:48 PM

Would anyone ealse like to put a vote in for this fridays track ?

cunawarit 27-01-2014 07:53 PM

If they don't we can just go with 8 as it seems to have interested most ppl :D Unless someone wholeheartedly objects. Whatever we choose let's try to get it built as per design...

Chris56 27-01-2014 08:33 PM

Id like to race on all of them, but 8 is the one id like to race on most

Dave Dodd 27-01-2014 09:29 PM

Yh what is the idea of Pac man ?

Lets try to get it built ontime you mean lol

Dave Dodd 27-01-2014 10:39 PM

Okay number 8 it is, like Gui said it seeme more popular. Will need to have the loop further away from race control to miss the corners (cable is long enough) :)

I think Martin should race his M03 on this track

msmith105e 28-01-2014 06:08 PM

Im very tempted to run my m03 with anglia body.... I may have to use my 8.5 turn though..... what do you think guys :D

Nice name gui

Chris56 28-01-2014 06:23 PM

I'll be running F103, but with a twist

Do you mean that it will actually finish a race?:p

Chris56 28-01-2014 07:21 PM

Can't guarantee that, but at least it wont get wedged under the markers!

Plus it will look good too

msmith105e 28-01-2014 07:52 PM

Im senseing some form of gt bodyshell....

It's called "chassis tweak" in technical terms.

Dave Dodd 28-01-2014 08:27 PM

F1 with a ministox bumper

Chris56 28-01-2014 09:41 PM

Martin is closest - it is a GT shell, came pre-painted and was only £16 delivered

Paul - i did make a chassis tweak - I used what was left of the Lotus front wing to make some front body mounts.

I am yet to mount the shell as I need some longer body posts to arrive.

I really like track number 3; nice long track.

Dave Dodd 28-01-2014 10:19 PM

Love the gt40 shell... Sweet :D

siddus74 28-01-2014 10:26 PM

Looks ace

F1 for me this week .. May put the Superstox around as well :D

Scott

cunawarit 28-01-2014 10:58 PM

Chris that's an awesome shell. I mean REALLY awesome shell!!!

Looking forward to it gents :) Stock buggy, may give the Mardave a run too, did a couple of thongs to it... That's to say a whole load of lead on it Traxxas style.

As for the name, thanks Martin :D I have others lined up for the next few tracks. lol

Dave Dodd 28-01-2014 11:21 PM

No.3 could be "equallacteral chainsaw"

Chris56 29-01-2014 10:20 AM

Cheers for the comments. Here is the ebay link, quite a bargain:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BS10F03B-1...#ht_2445wt_904

Pre painted and arrived next day. It also comes in red and fits F103 nicely.

My only complaint is the cut lines down the side are too high and i therefore had to cut the wheel arches deeper and the front bumper higher, hence why it looks very low and leen!

The Doctor 29-01-2014 03:04 PM

Let's see what it looks like after 3 rounds and a final... I remember those Lotus wings...

Chris56 29-01-2014 04:29 PM

Should be ok - I used the Lotus nose cone and a non-brittle strip of plastic bolted to it in order to make the t-piece, which I have mounted the body posts onto. Feels quite strong and the body posts have plenty of flex in them.

leedolby77 29-01-2014 07:28 PM

I am sure with your engineering excellence it will all be just fine.....

Have you made sure the wheels are fixed on well?....:p

Dave Dodd 02-02-2014 11:56 PM

Okay so which circuit for Friday? A Gui design I think.
Would like one with a normal straight this week, plz

cunawarit 03-02-2014 12:45 AM

Road America has been chosen by quite an overwhelming vote already...

Chris56 03-02-2014 04:19 PM

Definitely need my 12t motor and foams for that track, oh yeh!

Just a thought: we have several designs now, all of which we should run at some point.

How about we alternate between tight and open tracks each week?

Last week was v tight and technical with no long straights, this week we do Road America which should be excellent for speed, next week one of the tighter tracks (#3?), week after Interlagos/Barcelona/Estoril?

Out of interest, how does one vote for a circuit layout?

Chris56 03-02-2014 05:38 PM

pm Gui/Martin, or simply leave a post here

Dave Dodd 04-02-2014 08:27 PM

Road America will be this week's track plan.

David Smeaton 04-02-2014 09:17 PM

Nice track, lots of laps...............

cunawarit 05-02-2014 10:36 AM

I'm quite keen to try Oulu Mirror, if it was good enough for the EFRA European Championships it should be good enough for us on a Friday night :)

siddus74 07-02-2014 04:15 PM

Have fun tonight lads ...

Gits

Scott.

cunawarit 07-02-2014 05:48 PM

We will try ;)
