Must agree with Tony on that one. Do just hope the barrow club dosent get pushed out this year after steping up to the mark so late on in the calender last year. Plus what other clubs had donkey's and fun fair rides :P 10 rounds/weekends is way to much. both clases both days simple. Start early and finish late, full day of RC sounds fun to me.

bigred5765 05-01-2013 09:55 PM

agreed get croston dirt in and stoke then we will have a great regional calender

Alan Reeves 05-01-2013 10:25 PM

Same here matey, had a top weekend last year lol probably too good to do well racing on the Sunday but was worth it! Lol

Can I just say Stoke will be fantastic addition to our regonal series...

It's a very good track and like Bury it has grip when it's wet.

God knows why the mid-west are not hoisting a meeting there. But we should.

Ill do my God bit then Tony :D
Its because they didn't ask for a Mid West regional!
I have to say the one regional we had there a few years ago I enjoyed, although a lot of people complained about some of the jumps being to difficult with a 10th scale!

tony12795 05-01-2013 11:32 PM

I think that two meetings were run at Stoke 2wd and 4wd..

One was clockwise and the other anticlockwise, like Southport the track never worked one way but I don't remember which....

Matt good luck at Woksop tomorrow :-)

Got a fond memory of me going over the jump with my x6 and you were marshalling at the end of it. The car hadn't even hit the group and you had shouted its broke :)

matdodd 07-01-2013 07:13 PM

I'm not sure Tony I only remember going clockwise around it when ever ive been.
I think it will be a good addition for you guys, its a fun track

I'd forgotten about that Mat
I think you had a great day if I remember right ;)

IF nobody says anything then its just down to the clubs again and I know alot of you have views about 2012 and want changes to 2013.
Dont hold back as its your Regional series and we want you all to enjoy it:woot:

Changes that need to be made in my opinion as others have all mentioned!

North west region is for north west drivers
Both to run on same day as they use to going back to 2009 and previous years.
Tracks wise I'm not bothered but ideally not too far away as per last year!

North West Regional

Hi Guys

Been reading this article and didn't want to say much as this is the first year that I am doing this region. However you do have to remember that some of us are doing nationals and this region persuaded to come to it cos the region seems to combine 2 & 4wd and that allows you to do some extra racing at national tracks, local tracks etc. Be good to get some decissions as got a few things happening this year and need to sort out the racing etc

Sick of getting beaten by Northy? Who I believe lives in Malton - North Yorkshire!:p

Unfortunately this argument ran itself out last year, any driver from anywhere in the country can race in any region as long as they only score points in one region.

2 and 4 on the same day?

Drivers doing both classes get double the track knowledge unless we set the track to be different for each class. Not an impossible task I think.

Good point Roger!

Spencer Mulcahy 08-01-2013 09:31 PM

So we will have to run on separate days then.

???????????????????
I don't think it would take a day to alter. (direction for example)

There’s a counter argument to that. You get used to driving the track with a 2WD and set up then have to change driving techniques to adopt to a 4WD and its set up. Constantly switching between the two can be a challenge compared to someone driving the same buggy all day.

robstanway 09-01-2013 07:33 PM

1 day for both please

I should hope he does beat me the amount he races!
I race 3-4 times per year at the moment and there the regionals!
Never touched me at southport has he :woot:
When I can be bothered to race more itl be a different story!

Hi Guys,
We have organised the dates now for 2013 Regional Series.

21st April - Barrow
19th May - Stoke
2nd June - LDA
16th June - Southport
14th July - Bury
25th August - South Lakes

These will all be 2wd and 4wd on the same day.
If the booking in number go above 120 then we WILL BE dropping the rounds to 3 rounds and finals.

It will also be the best 4 rounds out of 6.

The booking in fee has gone up for this year to £10 and you have to book in with the hosting club.

I will post more details later.

Thanks

coleman758 22-01-2013 02:34 PM

Few Q's

Will it be £10 for the meeting or £10 per class?

coleman758 22-01-2013 02:34 PM

Are stoke holding any 10th meetings before the regional?

I have been twice Jim when we did the mid west. It was quite bumpy and some of the up ramps were steep.

Good fun but very hardwork, the 2WD regional was in the wet it was slippy. I was told though that since then they had done alot of work on flattening parts of it and making more 10th friendly.

TQ was 7 laps :woot:
