An interesting section of the track. It looks like a water pipe is being unearthed, this is happening on more than one part!

David Church 02-12-2012 02:15 PM

They have now stopped practice and are going to try and bury the water pipes lol

Sorted, just chop it out, fill the hole and carry on. Lol

Ronnefalk and Boots on the track now. Tessman put in a very quick lap a short while ago.

Sorry for the lack of updates today, this morning was delayed due to a very wet track, then the Internet stopped working trackside!
We are promised it will be fixed early tomorrow.
But in case you wanted to know, Elliot Boots topped the seeding times today.
Lee Martin also was in the top 10, but I didn't hang round to check it out as it was only seeding for qualifying and I'm sure there are plenty of places you can find the results!

David Church 04-12-2012 09:15 AM

It's another clear morning here today, it's set to be a scorcher I think, but who knows really haha.
Some of my interviews on online at www.liverc.com it's a bit weird watching them for me, I am gonna have to step my game up, and don't worry, as soon as the Internet is sorted, and the cameras are rolling, I will be having a bit of fun somehow haha, come on you guys know me hehe

racingdwarf 04-12-2012 05:43 PM

Any news? read today there was a nasty accident involving a marshal :o

David Church 04-12-2012 06:31 PM

LiveRc are up and running. Some major Internet problems meant we had no coverage. A marshal did get hit right in the face, I believe he was ko for a bit, but did get up and walk away, no doubt he will be hurting for some time.
I'm sure you can find better results than I have time to type, but Lee had a great 2 runs today!!! The rain is holding off for now, I'm cooling off at the hotel, will see if I can get on the old interweb thing trackside.

DaSloth 04-12-2012 09:09 PM

Certainly looks like lee is loving the new car. i don't think hes done as well in nitro up to now with the previous cars. Keep it up lee!

Go go Elliot:thumbsup:
Good luck!

racingdwarf 06-12-2012 08:57 PM

Mind you, looking at the latest photos of the track he may need to swap to some form of kyosho boat next time he hits the track as damn they have had some water, It looks as if they built the track at the lowest point in the field!

Cosworth 06-12-2012 11:57 PM

Nice to see Simon Willetts going well!

David Church 07-12-2012 07:10 AM

The track was built next to a river not far downstream from a dam I've been told. If the water gets too high and they have to open the dam the whole place could flood and it would take days for the water to go down. So it's possible the finals will not take place and Elliot would be the champion! Will know in a few hours when the sun is up and I can go have a look at the track.
I hope it's not flooded! We have come a long way to be here, and there has been a lot of problems. Internet at the track has failed massively so live Rc has not had good coverage of the event, nothing they can do as it's the Internet provider that is failing. They paid a lot of money to have a good connection as well.
Lots of other problems as well, there will be loads of stories coming from this world championships.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...xic-cloud.html

Now a toxic cloud has been seen not far from here, lol. The local reports say its non toxic. Yeah right lol

David Church 07-12-2012 08:57 AM

I've just been over to look at the track, it's wet but not flooded so we should be good to race today!!!

DCM 07-12-2012 09:18 AM

is that the rain with the Toxic cloud in it?

goldy 07-12-2012 09:37 AM

If it gets rained off, does Elliot come home world champ:)

David Church 07-12-2012 09:43 AM

Elliot would be champion if it gets rained off. It's very windy here today and much cooler than earlier in the week. Hopefully it will have blown that toxic cloud away lol. It's dry at the moment and not many clouds in the sky which is good, you would think they would be at the track now clearing the water, but nope, no one is even at the track now!!! There will be many sore heads today as many were drinking yesterday and many were up very late!!!

DCM 07-12-2012 10:26 AM

It does seem to be very low atmosphere at the Worlds, normally the track is buzzing all the time, but at this one, seems like they are on siesta all the time!!

David Church 07-12-2012 10:47 AM

Yep it's a very poor atmosphere. And as far as I can tell there is still no one working on the track.

What a shame.

Fingers crossed it warms up you all get racing.

DCM 07-12-2012 11:04 AM

You'd think they would make more of an effort wouldn't you. track looks like a club day, odd banner here and there :(

hotrodchris 07-12-2012 11:05 AM

Or Elliot just comes home with the Title?

bomber 07-12-2012 11:23 AM

The english drivers should feel right at home with the puddles and mud

David Church 07-12-2012 11:36 AM

I'm going to the track now, some of the UK drivers are going over to work on the track! Probably won't have in Internet there, but will try and update if I get the chance.

Good to see you sneek Jimmy into the Neobuggy RC Racing Thursday roundup!

racingdwarf 07-12-2012 12:25 PM

maybe they are not working on the track untill they know about the dam, they have the advantage of local knowledge. Looking at a few local reports they have had some serious rain around those parts. Even if it's stopped they may well need to open the dam as the land drains to the rivers hours after it's stopped:bored:

Build the track on a flood plain, sweet:lol:

jo90 07-12-2012 04:46 PM

am i doing something wrong as i cant see any pics

racingdwarf 07-12-2012 05:13 PM
