If we're including 'naked' chassis: The '87 Worlds Optima Mid prototypes. Everything was machined from solid black anodised alloy except the wishbones...

And here I was thinking this thread was about box stock cars...

But seeing we are now talking 'any' buggy- I choose Masami's 89 IFMAR 'worlds' Dog Fighter 4x2 chassis http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...c/Yokomo12.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...c/Yokomo13.jpg |

I thought it was naked chassis only lol? Oh well, in that case, the single most sexy RC buggy ever drawn up, is in fact the OOB Tamiya Dynastorm for me.
Ill own one and run it someday, its a classic 2wd design, so elegant and typically Tamiya. lee |
Sorry....had to stick my oar in...
My Top Force Evo...Impressive numbers INDEED:lol: http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...j/photo-46.jpg Don't you just love those nonsensical Tamiya phrases...Barf'n Berry!?! |
Theres no denying, it is SEXYTIME is the Evo.....now theres a wing slogan for Tamiya lol.

You guys are all soft in the head :p
How about the Kyosho Javelin? http://www.google.com.au/imgres?q=ky...9,r:2,s:0,i:79 |

I have to agree the Topforce Evo is a great looking car, im unsure if the Evo or original Avante gets my vote
|
For me my top 5 would have to be;
1 tamiya avante 2 schumacher cat xls 3 kyosho turbo optima mid 4 tamiya egress 5 associated rc10 gold pan and for scale looks i don't think you can beat the tamiya sand scorcher and sand rover. |

a little piece of my childhood arrived yesterday:
http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...psaa7f2a50.jpg http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps14f2fe87.jpg http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps5bbeb099.jpg it's mint. my dilemma now is whether to install electrics & take it vintage racing, or keep it as a 'shelf queen'. I do have another super astute in bits with a tatty shell waiting to be put back together... |
Hi Guys,
My first post on oOple:blush: For those that know me (BORMAC and Cats) For me the Cat XLS is just porn on wheels. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/a...B/DSCF4112.jpg DanB4, Sadly the box art XLS is now in a private collection in Hong Kong! |
I love this thread!:wub

Origineelreclamebord - Got to admit that your DynaStorm is one sexy 2wd!!
Without a shell, its got to be a toss up between an original carbon tubbed Predator, Schumacher Bosscat Works..... or any 1/8th On-road Nitro car (Serpent or BMT etc) Basically the more technical the chassis looks with carbon & anodised alloy parts the better! For cars with a bodyshell, I have a soft-spot for the JRXPro with the box art paint scheme; http://www.tamiyaclub.com/getuserima...07213427_1.jpg Cougar 2 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/getuserima...08100502_3.jpg And - maybe i'm a little biased, but I love the look of any Works91->on YZ-10 (with the 'squashed bug' design shell) ;) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...S/DSC00113.jpg |

What is going on! I'll post this for the Old Skool boys... The CAT XLS is nice and Origineelreclamebord’s Dyna is sex! also the TRF211x is close, But..................... ..................I’m going to forgive you young guns for totally losing the plot and overlooking the BEST ever LOOKING RC Cars bar none, period....... Metal is wood ;-) No. 1 The holy grail of lookers.... Attachment 42964 No. 2 The overlooked racer/looker.... Attachment 42965 No. 3 No racer but good looks.... Attachment 42966 No idea to who these photo gems belong to (nicked them off Google but please own up?) but if you want us to delete them... you’re mad! Great memories, Steve. |

For me it has to be the Dyna Storm as well, I thought it was going to be a unique choice when I saw the thread title... but hey, I guess lots of ppl like it too :)
Close runner ups, or winners depending on how I am feeling are: Original RC10 http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/...ps825ecc72.jpg Traxxas TRX-1 http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/...ps87deadbc.jpg Tamiya Sand Scorcher http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0a8b8776.jpg |
My favourite looking car is the Avante. I have a rere Avante still boxed and a Black Special built.
I also have this which is another favourite. To be honest this isn't an Egress it's a heavily modded Vajra! http://www.slotforum.com/forums/uplo...2_96_52194.jpg I want a nice YZ10 next. |
I can't beleive no one said anything about this car....

Rude to overlook the Optima Mid.
This is mine. Probably not pleasing to the pure vintage types but I like to pimp ;) my restorations :) http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...86218735_n.jpg |
Another OPTIMA MID
Dont Forget this one too
