Wow looking at this makes me want to start on mine, found by my kids in their grans attic ( my first RC car 35 years ago) and has now got us all back into RC again.
Any idea where to get the chain guard strips, front hubs + carriers and wishbones???:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks kartstuffer!

I always look for parts on Ebay. An alternative is to buy another car for parts if you miss many parts.

A LOT nicer than my effort ;)

How many parts were new and how many were polished/buffed/cleaned?

For instance that front bumper looks like it's just out of a packet?

Did you use metal polish or a rotary tool on the metal parts and plastic polish on the plastic to remove fine scratches?

Are the wheels new or did you refurb the originals?

Thanks,

Dan

I was very lucky, the car was almost in mint condition under the dust. I cleaned every part with WD40 and polished the metal parts with water and sand paper (P400/P1200). The front bumper was in this condition. Not 100% mint as you can see a smaller crack near the screw hole.

I still had to buy some parts on Ebay for completing it. I think I had to buy N.I.B parts for about $40.
