This ebay seller sell's BRCA batteries which for £2.00 extra he will solder on any type of connector you want.

These are pretty cheap but good enough, he does also sell higher/lower power batteries

The Zippy packs are NOT BRCA approved (unless you mean a different pack from that seller).

BRCA list is here - http://www.brca.org/sites/default/fi...20v1%20pdf.pdf

You know i always thought any Roar Approved packs were also BRCA legal.

My bad for providing false information then, but it does show people will do soldering for a price

Hi Guys,

I have got batteries ORION Carbon Pro 5400Mah. But they have stick connectors and my esc has a deans I believe?? Car does not arrive until tomorrow!

Cheers

Bring it along Sunday and I will take a look but my guess would you'd be better off just removing the current connectors on the battery and soldering on a deans to match you ESC

Androiddave 16-02-2012 10:02 AM

Yeah I will have it with me sunday, the lipos are the ones you reccomended http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92810.

They have no connectors just stick (banana plug) inputs...

I think I will have to get the adapter for the charger too??

Thanks

P.S What time and where will you be on sunday??

VintageRacer 16-02-2012 12:48 PM

Ah, Ok.

Then you either need to change the plugs on the speedo or, as you say, get an adaptor.

I made up an adaptor but have since switch plugs so I don't need it, if you ask nicely I might let you have it.

Will be there fairly early Sunday as we live in Kiddy, but where I will be depends on how early and how many others get there before us! I'll text you my number and you can call me if you need to find me.

Are you racing this week or just watching?

Androiddave 16-02-2012 01:27 PM

Just watching this weekend.

Yeah text me your number, I will be there for 10 so will be good to meet up as I dont know anybody there!!

If you do have a spare adaptor that would be great.... pretty please...

thanks.

brca legal

It makes no difference if brca legal or not when club racing. onloy if enetering santioned brca races, like regionals or nationals. so get any lipos thats a good spec and price.
Simple.

Good to see you on Sunday.

This shop has connectors you are needing
http://www.component-shop.co.uk/html/connectors.html

You have to buy plug-socket pairs but they aren't too expensive. If you want to get a few extra I'll buy some off you as I don't have any spare atm, might help save a bit of postage.
