I believe this is the first side-by-side saddle mid-motor to be available as a kit, requiring neither a donor chassis nor dremel work.
I'm still calling it the Sventro though! Will there be some sort of S1 version? With the alloy chassis, there'd be less of a difference between the two, but handy to people wanting to upgrade their existing Cougar rather than sell the old one on. |

I think the design is great, if you notice there are a couple of holes to change the weight distribution or battery placement. for those who don't like it show some poise and don't turn this into another brand bashing....really boring

But cos I'm not very special I have to wait to get one with the masses. :( Maybe they'll send me one of the first release review kits if I promise to do a cheesey video?... hint hint... So yes, rcLazy have got some on order, and we'll do them for the same price as the lovely Telstar Matthew £245.99. I'll also agree on no definite release date! |

IIRC as stated already Fabixx did a cougar 2000 mid motor and i think they also did an RC10 tub chassis one its along time ago so i stand to be corrected

Don't think they were very popular off-road, as at the time UK tracks were mostly grass so I guess rear motor was better. But on-road (with foam tyres) and on carpet the Fab2000 was excellent, I remember Mike and a couple of others running them at Ashby back in the early 90s. So really, everyone copied Mad Mike and should thank him for the current layout, even though it's took 18 years to truly catch on  |
Wasn't the Tekin conversion for the RC10 before the Fab thing?
|
Tekin did indeed do a full mid motor conversion for the original RC10.
|
I've got one :)

i need the new motor plate and gear cover for a project that i'm working on...like now :)

And just to add, (yes i could be wrong) but wasnt the optima mid the first production mid motor car? |
optima mid was 4wd, one of my fav cars.
|
mid 4wd, what about the cat short wheel base, mini mustang or the hotshot? 2wd the hornet...motor was in front of the rear axel, not sure if that improved the handeling tho!
