Any chance of letting us know any more details?

3 prototypes were made. The car went very well on our typical high grip tracks. We just haven't had time to take it any further :(

interesting northy. If you dont mind me asking why it never went further if the car went well ? Also, was a top deck used ?

I made a CF version named X7. Never got it to work good though, think the chassis is to stiff.
This is how i solved the gearbox mounting. I used the Ass GT2 nose piece.

We have the same problem with the SCX - 60CF: How to mount the transmission? Answer: a transmission cradle. Will be available as a part as soon as the SCX - 60CF is ready, in 2-3 weeks we hope.

You could almost mount that straight on the back of a Centro chassis. No doubt people will try, once the cradle is available.

 Looking good mate; will be interested to hear how it goes vs standard car. Is the chassis standard length?

What are your plans for the body?

adey 22-02-2012 09:20 PM

3mm longer than std and using a centro body. Just got to sort pivot pin supports.

xfactor 23-02-2012 09:19 PM

Yes i agree with toby, if it goes as good as it looks you could be onto a winnnnnnner just need a nice paint job now

adey 23-02-2012 09:32 PM

as you know xfactor, i am rubbish at paint jobs. Was going to paint it one colour (black or silver). Its now finished. Electrics going in and just a few adjustments to the battery straps and aside from the body its ready.

Did you get this finished in the end ???

How did you get around mounting the gearbox and braces for the rear hinge pins.......???

cheers

adey 27-05-2012 10:38 PM

Yeah done it. Can't post pics as my iPhone just won't do it. If you provide me your email address I'll send you pics.

adey 27-05-2012 10:46 PM

Oh and it won't bend as it has carbon strips on the chassis
