Mr Moss was running a Cougar at Worksop today when I went to spectate for a bit. I think he DNF'd the round I was watching.

I'm assuming there is no Ansmann race team now or if there is they will not be running the X2c/X4. Hopefully there will be a TeamC presence soon

As far as I'm aware Ansmann did not simply distribute Team C, they actively developed on that base platform. They manufactured the cars and parts based on the original designs. I believe they have the rights to continue manufacturing the cars using there own facilities and to develop them further.

I think you miss understood me... when manufacture I mean in Germany, not China or global.

Ansmann took the original CAD and molds and molded there own parts. They did not simply buy in Team C parts that's why the Ansmann cars have their logo as part of the moldings, they adapted the original CAD and made new master molds for some parts. I'm sure Team C have a manufacturing factory somewhere in China.

The current Team C Europe deal is a distribution deal so all the parts and cars will be shipped in from China unlike Ansmann who (again as far as I know) molded the bit's themselves at there factory.

See what I mean?

Anyway..sorry for the off topic...

Still a shame to see drivers leave for otehr teams but best of luck once again!!

Think your a little mixed up there, Team C is the OEM producer who re-brands for whoever is buying their kits. Stuff like anodising is then done in the colour of the re-brand, as the 2wd buggy was seen in a few 'distributors' colours.

Ansmann is not an RC Car company, more a 'box shifter' who managed to develop a few parts, that could be made out of carbon fibre.

I notice all the links to the Ansmann model site have been disabled when you visit the parent company sites. As an owner of the cars this doesn't give me a warm feeling regards spares/support etc.
I assume the Team C spares will be eagerly awaited by all?

Do we know why simon has left Ansmann, especially so soon after signing?

Aren't Ansmann big in batteries and stuff? I've had one of their big add-on battery/grips for my Canon SLR camera.

I can confirm I am still receiving all of the parts I order from Ansmann here in the UK. The service has been very good, parts ordered one day and they arrive the next. This is from the UK headquarters.

Same here, business as usual as far as i'm concerned... and until i hear something official saying otherwise then that's what it will be. :)

Nothing like a bit of forum related chinese whispers to get people worked up!

madmax 07-02-2012 08:52 PM

as a team driver, i am receving parts though ansmann without a problem, i havnt receved eny news from Shawn at the racing team, all i know is that the pace of developing up graded parts or a new car has been put on hold for the moment.
