Hi Matthew

A few of us purchased ours from here and had no issues. http://www.giantcod.co.uk/xerun120as...-p-405854.html

Also as far as i am aware there is no BRCA list for ESC's. Only your motor and batteries need to be BRCA legal

Cheers

Dave

There is a list for ESC's but only if you're running in a 'blinky' class.

Worth knowing, cheers :)

Thanks everbody for the replies. can some one explain what blinky class is plssss  Also if I bought xerun ESC would I be allowed to enter a BRCA event?

From the top of my head
Motors - LRP X12 6.5t from JE Spares - £59
or
Speed Passion V3 6.5t from not sure where it is but its £56

Both are super value

Escs are always a little trick. Orca combos are very good and I think RC Lazy do them

Take your pick

I think Blinky is to do with Turbo or Boost. Some ESCs have a Boost or Turbo setting which when enabled will change the characteristics of the motor by altering the timing. So when you put down on full throttle it gives it a higher revs at the top end.
Blinky I think means - Turbo/Boost facility
Non-Blinky means - No Turbo/Boost facility

I beleive 1/10 touring cars this year is not allowing turbos. As it starts a ware with who has the best Esc.

Can someone just confirm I am right. As I am not 100% confident!

Thanks

blinky

means you have a light on it, that when the esc has no timing changes and no turbo, IE standard, it has the light to show this....

Only needed for races that are standard class... So for normal modified and club racing, dont worry about it..........:D

Blinky mode is when the speedo is not putting additional timing into the motor, it's called blinky mode as one of the lights will blink to show that it's in the right mode.
wouldnt worry about it in off road, run what you like really

Other way around :)
Blinky = no timing
