There is a Little Chef next to the Travelodge. The pub across the road on the roundabout told us they stopped serving at 8 on a Saturday. We drove 5 mins out of town back towards the motorway and went to a big pub in the middle of nowhere which is 2 for 1. Proper good mixed grill!

Should defently be a good weekend.

muzzy 11-03-2008 08:43 PM

food.......

The place I think Mossy is on about as far as I would guess is the Lock Keeper which is a 2 for 1, after we set up the track at the last Worksop meeting we all went there after and had some nice meals, I think they serve until 9pm, well they certainly did when we went the other saturday, so food won't be a problem for anybody. Big steaks, mixed grills, lots of specials, the lot, so plenty of choice and being 2 for 1 works out pretty decent prices. Hope this helps you all, see you all there.
Regards
Mark

Nah, I'm guessing as Mossy's from Stoke he went back out to junction 30 (to go M1 South) so he'll be on about The Half Moon - it is OK but its about 3 miles out of town.

_sleigh_ 11-03-2008 10:21 PM

Not sure on the name of it, but it's on the main road back to the M1. From memory it's got a garden centre or something similar nextdoor.

It near the speed camera that used to get burnt down every other month. although this is about 10 year ago when I used to race a Worksop in the good ol' days.

That'll be The Van Dyke Hotel then.

If you carry on going out to the M1 you'll come to the DeRhodes restaurant on the right hand side before the mini roundabout (about 3 mins from Van Dykes), then also the Treble Bob off the roundabout that leads back to the M1 (theres a McD's there too), but all these are getting a bit far out of town.

For those who haven't been before and don't have satnavs with speed camera alerts watch out for the speed cam at the end of the straight bit as you come into Worksop about half a mile past the garden centre, theres one coming in and one to catch you as you go out in addition to the one outside the garden centre. That bit of road was recently restricted to 50mph all the way back in to Worksop.

Not sure where to post this, so I'll try here! What inserts have you guys been running at Worksop this winter, hard or medium?

Mossy 24-03-2008 10:15 AM

Ran Schumacher Mediums (Green colour) yesterday in the CAT, seemed better.
