Don't get too excited, it was painted in 2 hours as I was told I could borrow a car for the next day!! Am a big lancia fan, so it all worked. Looked cracking on track though!

EDIT- try that now.. damn computers!

gainsy 15-10-2011 12:27 PM

For some reason i can't see it, just brings up a black page :(

eyeayen 15-10-2011 06:25 PM

I dunno, for a 2 hour paint job it doesn't look all there... you've not painted any logo's on or anything  :p

Mate I couldn't do that in 2 hours, well not with water based paint, top job, colours look spot on, what did you use - if you don't mind me asking / haven't drunk too much beer between then and now and can remember ???

gingapaint 15-10-2011 06:33 PM

Lol, I'd love a cutter to have done the logos. It was all faskolor back then, just faswhite, fluro red (backed with flat red) sky Blue and flat blue. I think I had it sitting with liquid mask etc on and heated it flat out to dry it. Looks ok from a distance, just dint get too close!!

Thought I better put something up here... Just finished this for the guys at RC Lazy.

It's only going to be on a demo car for people to try out so nothing special, just basic AE box scheme substituted in the shop colours with painted on logo's. Will look better once they've stickered it up and got it on the truck.

More exciting things next

gainsy 15-11-2011 07:42 PM

Nice work Ian  nice clean lines on the logo's mate
Looking forward to you doing my dex210 shell if they are ever released :bored:

eyeayen 15-11-2011 11:12 PM

Cheers Stu, she ain't so pretty up close. Next one will be much better. Looking forward to creating your paint scheme for you when the shells make it through.

It is still practice and as you have said before your your biggest critic.

eyeayen 15-11-2011 11:18 PM

I think 'fit for purpose' best describes it. It's going to be bashed as it's a car for others to drive to see if they want to purchase a Short Course and I did it for Free cos the lads at RC Lazy are decent people.

The Chef 15-11-2011 11:24 PM

Yes they are. Good service too!

U1timate PigDog 16-11-2011 07:44 PM

Nice and crisp, simplistic jobs can look really bad if not done right but that looks spot on

Nice one and keep them coming.

simoncrabb 16-11-2011 08:02 PM

Yeah, the cut-out painted logos are very well done. Very pleased with it. We'll sticker it up, build the demo car (!) and get some more pics of it for you Ian.

eyeayen 17-11-2011 11:58 AM

Thanks Simon, glad you're happy with it. The next one is so much better, you won't believe it when you see it :D

Mike Parker 17-11-2011 04:40 PM

Looking good Ian

eyeayen 17-11-2011 04:58 PM

The next one is 10 times better. Can't put photo's up yet until it's been delivered. Oh, and I need to finish it... I've gone a bit over the top and turned it into a bit of a shelf queen

simoncrabb 24-11-2011 12:27 AM

Get the pics up Ian, this one is UNBELIEVABLE. Amazing stuff. Video of it soon.

gainsy 24-11-2011 07:53 AM

Ooooh cool paint jobs & a rclazy video in 1 day, knew thursday was going to be a good one

eyeayen 24-11-2011 10:18 AM

Ah the pics have come out rubbish  really bad, will try and brighten them up in photoshop later but it's lost the vibrance of the colours... Could do with borrowing the shell back for a few more shots, sun light is needed me thinks, or a pro photo studio... the later probably easier to come by

I'll post some pics up soon though...
