so how's the testing for the weekend going? are the results to your expectations, especially the rear motor chassis with the saddle battery config?

Pretty good!

Arnaud has just cutted some spikes on the tyres and never touch again is car all the day!
i've just changed the springs, cutted spikes and 'open' (did you say that in english?) the front wheels.
then, they could be faster with a little work, i think! :D

prototypes made good impression with the other drivers on the track, some are interested and are waiting for the production.

for the carpet we've moved forward the saddle (14mm) and it's working great.
I am impatient to see the mid competing!

for the expectations :
in fact it was the first Arnaud's 2wd race and i know he's a good driver but I didn't have expected this!
There is always good local drivers in this race and it's for it that we've made the trip.
the best place i've made at this area was 4th (with the MCS, in february) and i do the same with the rear motor. i'm simply surprised. :D

i've seen someone filming a final , i hope i can find the vid'...

the next round is a national one. i know that 4wd are full and 2wd almost.
so, a lot of people expected.
I'm under pressure... but what can happen?! rock'n'roll!!

bye!

the best way for quality carbon, serious work & money too!
big thanks to them!

i'm ready for Loos, near Belgium, with a Vega shell :

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...87276300_n.jpg

i like the differents bodies it can fit with.
perhaps our own models if we work well, but it's a new domain for us.

the last part will be the gearbox i think, but because I try to do it in France :bored:
it's not the best country for creations... except if you've got a lot of time and money to spend! :D

an address for a good CNC in U.K.? Team Xtrem? lol!
i'm joking but in fact if someone knows a good one, I take!
nothing's impossible here but I think that's better in U.K., for exemple

bye!

+1 on these, especially the last item which is an ultra rare commodity these days...:woot::thumbsup::D

le_sam 09-11-2011 08:38 PM

Hi,

I think I've found a manufacturer

perhaps gearboxes will be available in one month.
I wait 10 days for the 3D printed prototype.

another shell, the Puma by FTW (Cougar's body) :

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...13327844_n.jpg

I like the different bodies it can be fitted.
the one I prefere is the Bulldog (rear motor).
why not ask Proline if they're interested (or think about) to make a Bulldog shell for the Cougar (thus mine too!! :D)

bye!

results of the week-end at the Coupe des Champions (Neuville, France)

JC & me : Q26 & 28. final : 28 & 27 (our goal was C final, done!)
Arnaud : Q18, final : 18!

first national race and first run with the kit for JC.
on mine, i've just change the rear tires this week-end. nothing else since the last race for this car, 2 weeks ago!
second 2wd race and first run with the mid prototype for Arnaud with great laps! he broke a rear wheel shaft in Q 4th , the only problem of the WE for the team.

Arnaud's mid

Jean-Christophe's rear motor

mine
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...15223604_n.jpg

and the last news :
if i can find funds for the mould, the gearbox could be made in magnesium!
the prototype arrives on wednesday.

JC's and your rear motor chassis is more interesting....with that undertray fitted, which bodyshell currently on the market fits nicely to that tray? so any idea how much this rear motor chassis's gonna costs us? thanks sam...

Hello!

I've calculated 139€+shipping for the "FT rear motor basic" first...
but now, I know that I'm going to sell it 125€ + shipping ;)

we use the Cougar undertray (with special cuts) and many RB5 bodies fit it well for exemple.
the one i prefer is the Proline RB5 Bulldog!
we fix it with scratch and/or with the rear saddle clips. I still have a Proline Vortex too (no more produced)

with the mid, all Cougar's bodies are good but need the undertray to fit well : Phat bodies, FTW, ... and perhaps a Bulldog one in 2012!?

and for MCS owners :
the frame can receive the MCS gearbox, it's only missing the two reinforcement holders to complete it

I will made a 'special tips page' with pictures in few days to show all what is possible with this fantastic kit ;)

have a good day, bye!

le_sam 16-11-2011 06:19 PM

the prototype is arrived, the gearbox will be nice...
