Pissing Cosie off wasn't the idea, even if that really didn't bother me at the time whether he was or not. If you want the domain Cosie, why don't you start with an apology, and also by removing my address details from your forum.

Using exactly the same name as my forum? Really? And you never once thought "you know..some people might pick up on the fact that its exactly the same name as that micro forum"?

Just as an FYI, I do want the domain name, and I have made you an offer above. You sort the transfer over and I will gladly forward you payment.

As for the address details, more than happy to remove the entire post from the micro forum once the transfer is complete, but are you aware that you registered that domain name and didnt set your details to private? You can go onto whois.com, lcn.com etc and anyone can find those details.

Just incase you were not aware.

sldmodels 24-08-2011 11:32 PM

I still don't see an apology and I don't trust you as far as I can throw you, so try again.

Indeed! A happy resolution and everyone is a winrar.

Sarah, let me know if you are willing to accept my offer, if so get everything in place and I will transfer payment over once everything is "signed, sealed and delivered", and then I will gladly delete the thread on the micro forum and we can be on our seperate ways.

Im rather confused as to what you are asking me to apologise for?

For wanting the domain name?

As for the "not trusting me bit", well, I would imagine that if I try and swindle you out of the grand sum of £8.50+VAT that you could come here and on to all the other RC forums that you frequent and tell the world what an arsehole I am.

Sounds fair doesnt it?

sldmodels 24-08-2011 11:37 PM

Well it seems you think you're one of those people who doesn't do anything wrong. I've given you chance to apologise for posting me address on a public forum, for continuing to slag me off and allowing the members of your forum to do the same, and the general crap I've had from you and your friends over the past few years.

I think I'll just sell it to a spam company that sells viagra

R5 racer 24-08-2011 11:42 PM

OMG... are you to nuts?
Cosie, why dont you just apologise?
Sarah, then you do the same!!
Neither may like it or even mean it, but its a start.
Then cosie, give the payment to someone you BOTH trust, via paypal or alike. Sarah does the transfer then she gets paid..... how hard can you two make it?

Jonesy 24-08-2011 11:42 PM

Damn, Can't delete only edit!

c0sie 24-08-2011 11:44 PM

Oh Sarah, im well aware of my faults. I am the small minded Chairman after all :) and damned proud of that title :)

How about this though,

Ill pay you for the domain name as per my original email.
Once that entire process is complete Ill remove the entire thread from the micro forum.

We will agree to disaree and we will probably continue to keep people amused on oOple with our non-offensive banter...cos after all, we might disagree but we are civil people :)

sldmodels 24-08-2011 11:47 PM

How is that any different to what you suggested before?

How about firstly, you apologise, secondly, you unban me from the micro forum

Do this, and instead of giving the domain name over to you, I'll put a holding page in place, with a link to the micro forum.

c0sie 24-08-2011 11:52 PM

Sorry Sarah, but as I mentioned to you before, I want the domain name, not a holding link, sorry.

c0sie 24-08-2011 11:53 PM

I tell you what Sarah, for the sake of me getting more f*****g annoyed with various different people, Ill PM you in the interests of decorum.

sldmodels 24-08-2011 11:54 PM

Fine, I'll keep it and renew when it's time to, no skin of mine.

peetbee 25-08-2011 12:29 AM

Oh I give up
Sarah, you are coming across as unreasonable - I've tried mediating, I've even mildly moderated the posts you are complaining about, but I really can't be bothered anymore.

sldmodels 25-08-2011 05:06 AM

Listen everyone, I'm sorry this thread has gone how it has. I deliberately didn't post anything here, with the intention of giving Cosie enough chance to do the right thing and contact me privately, and all he and his friends have done is slate me and resorted to name calling,
(read the posts here if you don't belive me http://www.uk-microrc.co.uk/forum/in...0&#entry144735 )

If he'd have just asked nicely if he could have the domain in the first place, then I probably would have said yes, and transferred it for whatever the cost was.

Chris, if you want it, make him an offer, Sarah, if it is reasonable, take it, then you can both be seen as sensible!! Otherwise you both look petty. Who gives a toss WHY she registered it....

+1..

alteredoggy 25-08-2011 10:59 AM

at the end of the day its a free world
any body can register a domain name, no one needs permission

jimmy 25-08-2011 11:40 AM

Hey guys please be civil, I don't want daft arguments dragged over here from elsewhere.

Exactly, working in this industry every day you see plenty of people buying domain names nothing to do with them. If the UK Micro place was a shop and Sarah had bought the domain to redirect then i could see it slightly differently, jack diddly you can do about making someone to transfer a domain. If she had posted up pictures of you which were inappropriate or slagging you off directly then yes maybe, until then nothing at all.

I dont understand why its not redirected to something though, would make sense to use the domain for some use

PS - just registering ooople.com too :lol::lol: - /jokes

oople.xxx is available - imagine the logo.......brilliant.

It a free world regarding domains. Companies/People buy domains just to sell them on for profit all the time.

Although there's only 8 months left to run Sarah also has the first refusal on renewal.

At least your in contact with the current owner and will hopefully be able to thrash out some kind of deal regarding the transfer. But £8 for a dotcom you really want.......
