It wouldn't take long to clear that bottom bit of the site with a 4.5t mini digger at all. I could lay my hands on one for beer token money and diesel if you wanted it done!?

Happy to go with the flow just as long as we have some rc racing.

Indoors would be warm and dry..! Outdoors would simply be extreme..! :)

What about the TA Hall in camberley. Big and I can't imagine that it will be expensive. What do you think?

That would be fine for me especially after Tuesday's mud fest! It took me 5 hours to clean strip down and rebuild the 502x, was fun though :)

Looking at it from my point of view (Long time on road racer, new to off road).

I have been to 3 different off road tracks in the last three weeks which obviously are all new to me.

Eden Park, TORCH and Surrey and Hants.

I have loved all of them, and the astro is great but I do love a Tuesday night at Surrey and Hants mainly because of the grass and I would hate to lose that USP that the club has.

I think an indoor venue on a Tuesday night would be cool to keep the club going andto not lose the grass for summer.

Hi Dudders, we plan to race Micro-T (and all variations) again this year indoors. You get a pretty good off road feel with the right surface and you would be surprised at how well they jump:o. You need very little room, but obviously the bigger the better. Loads of upgrade and setup options, and at only around £60 for a stock ready to roll it is accessable by most. Maybe we could do something together over the winter months and if the hall is big enough run some larger scales, too Losi also go 1:24 - 1:18 scale with shortcourse and Buggys available.

I used to run on a tiny indoor circuit with mods. I don't think the size really matters as long as it could be made interesting enough with you space you have.
How about a loop de loop?

Find a good sized indoor venue if possible that's cheap to hire.

The idea of lights/astro is all very good but standing outside in the freezing cold will soon make the novelty of artificial lights soon wear off.

ok ok ok ok... get the message!. Big indoor track for Off Road 1/10th. Leave it with me :thumbsup::thumbsup:

If you can get an indoor venue for racing 1/10th off road, theres a crew of us all looking for a winter club, we are all from West Wiltshire and would be looking at 8-10 of us making a trip on a sunday

So any news

Dudders, Any more thoughts/news on SHRCCC carrying on over winter, indoors (or out!)... Especially if RC arena 'are' suspending their friday nights and only concentrating on the winter series..?

Could be an opening for a club night, especially if Taplow are being a bit 'funny' about who qualifies for the apparent discount price (or not!)...

Dudders 23-08-2011 06:42 PM

All I know is that we ARE running over Winter....

How, where, when etc is all up to the gods....

Dr_UpGrade 23-08-2011 06:46 PM

LOL, thats good news at least!

When do you think you'll have a firmer idea of when, where etc?

:p
